Oh my gosh!

She's "on the purr"!

I'm so excited, for new kittens!

And, you didn't sleep very well last night, did you Tang?

I hope you can hang in there, with Ginger.

She'll do the hard work.

All you have to do is sit back, and watch.

And take some pictures for us, "Kitten Crazy Geeks".wink

If it's possible, I will. I had to set up in a cardboard box with only a small opening for her. She wouldn't go near it when I left one side open.

So if you kneel down on the floor, you can kinda see her. I'm trying to leave her alone. We did set up a baby monitor next to the box.

She doesn't seem like she wants company for this.

No.

Pebbles didn't either.

They are at their most vulnerable when giving birth.

Thats why they get into small spaces.

It sounds like you gave her a nice place to give birth, Tang.smile

If she seems to want her privacy, don't push the issue.

She will be fine, on her own.

This is so exciting!

Kittens by morning!smile

Good morning! Ginger had three orange tabby kittens.

One of them didn't make it. :(

They are huge! About 5 inches long.

I'll try to get a picture when I change her bedding.

Ginger is acting strange. She is glued to my side, instead of in the box with her kittens. They are warm and not crying. Ginger comes to the door and cries whenever I leave the sunroom.

Should I be concerned?

She sounds a tad bit overwhelmed by motherhood.  Weren't we all?

Oh I see we posted at the same time. Maybe she wants you to stay in the sunroom with her? See if she'll stay in her box if you sit with her.

I say stay with her awhile & let her get comfortable with the kittens by checking in on them. She is probably scared & overwhelmed. This might be her first litter & she is finding her way.

Awww...

She needs reassurance right now.

She just had triplets!

If she is going in the box and doing mommy things for the kittens, they are fine.

What does Bunny think about the new little kitties?

She ate almost four cans of food so far today!

Bunny is really excited about the kittens.

Lots of great name ideas. I love them!

Be careful with Bunny & the kittens.  I don't remember how old he is but still a little guy right?  My BFF's 5 yo got a little too excited with my kittens & he was unintentionally squishing one by holding too tightly.

Oh dear. Bunny is six. We have explained that the kittens can't be touched until they are older. He does really well with the other cats, jim sleeps on his bed every night. I'm sure he will be good with the kittens too.

Doh, I forgot you had other kitties & he grew up with them.  Z didn't have any pets so I'm sure that was a big part of it.  He just got excited & held on too tight.

Are you going to keep them?

Our vet recommends waiting until 6 months to fix.

We are planning to keep Ginger. We have a bit of a problem with the kittens. We were expecting more than two and have about 5 people lined up to take a kitten. They may have to draw straws or something. Lol

Husband liked the idea of spice names. He suggested Sage and Cinnamon. I can't tell them apart right now, so we have a little time to decide on names.

If you go Cinnamon and Nutmeg, you are staying the same spice family.
