Update on NJN:

She got back from the ER & hopefully is still asleep. She was dehydrated & in pain, but her DH is home with her. And she has meds.

Peeking head in. Here's my update. My husband got up about 6:40 yesterday morning. We talked for a bit and then I became overwhelming nauseated. So I took a prescription anti nausea pill. Then the pain started. I immediately knew what it was. But it was the worst pain that started in my side and worked it's way around to my back. I am not a wimp. I slept through having my first child. I had no meds. I was so glad my husband was home because people have no idea how much pain I can tolerate. Anyway, he needed to get his license renewed and they opened at 8. So at 7:30 he headed down there and got in line first. He had set me up on the heating pad before he left. The pain kept coming. Something told me my kidney was infected. I finally texted him and he said as soon as he was done we'd go to the ER. Our doctor is not in on Fridays and I really felt like I needed an IV antibiotic. Got to the ER they wheeled me in. I was crying. My BP was 160/110. I couldn't pee and the were going to put a catheter in to get a sample but then they decided to wait and get an ultrasound. Meanwhile they gave me two bags of fluid because I was so dehydrated. So, I get back to my room and now I have to pee because of all the fluid. Problem is I've had ten mg of morphine and am a bit loopy. My husband helps me walk down the hall, get a urine sample which was quite difficult because I had an IV, and then walks me back. My husband looks at my pee in a shocked manner. Actually, everyone who touched it looked the same way. Time for more morphine. Doctor comes in and says I need two IV antibiotics. So I get them. Dr. says first UTI didn't clear up all the way and was growing in my ureter and traveled to my kidney. Five prescriptions and we hit Target. Now I can barely wak and feel dizzy and like I'm going to throw up. So they give me an extra bag to throw up in. My husband offers to buy dinner because I'm obviously not cooking. So we get to this chicken place where they come to your car and you place the order and then they bring it back out. She sticks her head in the car to give my husband the food and all of a sudden the volcano that is my stomach erupts right in front of her. Poor girl looked mortified. And now I'm back home, totally fubar'ed on pain and nausea meds beyond belief. And I would just like to thank God for modern science.

And today's goals are to eat, which is next to impossible, and take a shower. Other than that I'll be sleeping.

Awe just saw your update. Get a lot of rest and let your husband take care of you.

DS wants to watch The Good Dinosaur. DH was the one who turned off the TV last night and put the remote somewhere. Not where it belongs. Somewhere out of sight. Why, I don't know. So now I get to listen to "I wanna watch Good Dinosaur" until DH wakes up.

I had a busy morning.

I got up early, and went for a 4.5 mile walk.

Watered my plants and fed the birds.

Watched some Golf and The Tour.

Played case car for Wayne and Mere.

Had lunch at the Blue Mesa.

Came home and watched The Golf some more.

I think I'll be lazy for the rest of the day.

Got home from the beach. I miss the beach already. But I missed my pool more. Glad to be home. Just wished the boys' pet made it home, too.

It doesn't look like it rained at all so I'm watering the yard now. At least the hydrangeas look good so it couldn't have been too bad.

I think I gained 10 lbs.

NJN, I hope you are better!

Spent the afternoon in mystic. Dd and I shopped and then had an early dinner by the side of the mystic River. I hD fried oysters. Yum! I visited o4's fav bowl.😂 Raggae band on the beach tonight.

 No. Just knew that would get a reaction. Coming back in a month. There is a glass starfish that would look nice hanging in my dining room window. Thinking..
