There is so much misinformation about guns. My MIL thinks you can just order one like you do a book on the internet, and have it delivered to your door.
Not legally, mom. Good grief.

Not directly "to your door". But you can order on-line or out of a catalog and have it shipped to a local licensed gun dealer who will take care of the background check before handing you your nice shiny new ordered gun (there will probably be a nominal fee for the local dealer's efforts on your behalf).
