Hotter than all get out again today. The last day of a three day holiday. Sat, Sun and Monday has been designated "Marine Day " in honor of oceans, etc. rather than the USMC. LOL
Morning! Nice to see you czech! Hi dg, lily, karl, flan, and IKWTDS! Hi to all coming after me! It's been upper 90's for two weeks and it looks like it will continue through July.
But I'd still rather have it than ice and or snow.

Fluffy was found. DH put her in the cage but she started to fight with the new hamster (which has been re-named, Whiskers). Fluffy is in the shower with some food and water, and I'll run out and get a new cage at lunchtime. Such drama.

Where was she found?
I know hamsters & gerbils are different, but I once tried to introduce an "orphan" gerbil to an existing pair & it didn't work.

A new cage is a good idea. Hamsters will rarely get along with non-littermates. And even then it's iffy. Hamsters are not nice people.
Yeah, I knew they wouldn't get along but DH had to see for himself. He said they started wrestling so he reached in and grabbed Fluffy and put her in the ball to carry her into the basement shower. Fluffy was winning the fight, BTW. "Whiskers" is now sleeping in a different area of the cage. I'll get a new cage for Whiskers and let Fluffy have her home back.

I'm up and honoring Czech by drinking some decaf peppermint tea.

I had a feeling she would turn up!
Now your boys will have double the fun!
I woke up extra early, and was out for my walk at 5:45am.
Yes, it was still kind of dark out, but it's the coolest part of the day.
I'm think about running up to Denton with Paul, and moving his stuff out of his apartment.
I bought a couple more extenders and a cool den to add to Fluffy's while I was at it. And I figure when one dies, I can combine them and make a Hamster Hilton.

Apparently she had built a nest out of paper towels in the neighbor's kitchen. They chased her and she ducked behind the dishwasher. They had to pull the dishwasher out to get her.

I was guessing that she had found a safe place to hide!
Today was full day. We went to lunch then spent the rest of the afternoon and evening with some friends and their son at park with a playground and splash pad. The boys enjoyed running around in the water and then playing on the playground after.
