Morning Geeks! It's my weekend. It is hot today, must mow the lawn this morning before the heat gets too bad. DD took the dog out this morning so I could sleep a bit. Too bad my body wouldn't sleep.

Lawn is done. Resting before I go out and do the weeding and trimming. It is 92 here. So glad I got it done before the temps climbed any higher.

I figure another hour or so of work, then the fun stuff can begin, like grocery shopping.

It's my FRIIIIII-DAY, Its my FRIIIIII-Day! Doing the 'Friday dance'! And I have a 3 day weekend! Although I have clients on Sunday night and almost all of Monday is booked up running from thing to thing.

Which means I have to cook tomorrow so that I have food for the week. Apparently cooking a frozen family-sized lasagna and then having it for lunch every day (and once or twice for dinner) is not something that is considered 'adult'. Fine. Maybe while I'm sitting here at work doing absolutely nothing I can find a recipe for chickens stew, crockpot style!

(um, if anyone has any suggestions in the next hour or so, it would be appreciated!)

Why is that not adult?

Cook up some pork chops. They make great sandwiches.

Cook a roast. Shred it up for sandwiches, quesadilias, wraps.

It's ugly hot here today. Whew! We hit 97 and it was really muggy. I really hope it rain tonight and cools things down a bit. I shouldn't complain. We're covered in snow from about October to May up here. This hot weather should be welcome but since it's so rare, we don't have air conditioning. I went to Good Will for a frying pan and wound up staying for over an hour because they had their a/c set to Narnia. :)
