If you can, bake it in a disposable aluminum pan.
Cool completely.
Wrap in plastic wrap twice - once in each direction.
Wrap in foil.
Wrap in bubble wrap. Tape an additional address label to the bubble wrap
Put a layer of packing peanuts in the bottom of the box - 1-2" deep.
Insert the pan.
Pour packing peanuts all around the pan, stuffing it full. Jiggle it a couple of
times to make sure the peanuts settle.
Tape the box securely, and add the address label on the top.
Using a BIG red marker, put LARGE arrows pointing up on all four sides.
Mark "fragile" on the top.
Bring to USPS or UPS or FedEx.
(If you're sending cupcakes, leave them in the (disposable) pan and send the entire thing!)

I always wrapped baked goods well in zip lock bag and then filled box with more zip lock bags of popped popcorn (that's what my mom did back when I was in college and it was awesome. Cookies etc. would be intact and safe and then I ate the popcorn LOL
