Still dont want to vote for Trump or Clinton. So what about that Gary Johnson guy? I know nothing of him but this page seems to shine him in a republican type light. What says the peanut gallery?

Pot smoking hippie who will take votes away from Trump and give Hillary the win. I have a lot of libertarian friends, loyal to Johnson. I fear another Ross Perot affect.

He is a libertarian. I like him and want him to get 5% of the votes so that the Libertarian party gets to be part of the Presidential Campaign funding. It would be nice to have 3 real parties, rather than 2. He won't be elected president, but this is the best chance for a 3rd party to make some headway. And I like libertarian policies on limited government.

He's got my vote.

Not that that will matter at all since I live in Texas.

Around here a lot of the 20 somethings are voting for him. And I agree with the Ross Perot affect on the election.

That Johnson will take votes from Trump like Perot did from Bush giving the win to Clinton.

Well, with Sanders out, my hope is the effect will be opposite - that Johnson will take votes from Clinton.

Yeah, that's the way that will work.  Perot was too Bush light.  Johnson is Hillary light.

Do you think Sanders supporters would vote for Johnson?  I don't see much similarity but will admit I don't know much about Johnson's platform.  But now that you have pointed this out, I think a lot of 20 somethings were Sanders supporters & from what I can tell in my area that is also Johnson's base.  So here is to hoping you are correct!!!

They are not similar in ideolgy.  But Johnson is not Hillary or Donald.

Sanders supporters have to be too disgusted with Hillary and the Democratic Party to vote for them after how they mistreated Bernie. And they can't stand Trump. So those that can't stomach voting for Trump or staying home might just vote for the only other name on the ballot. And the states with the Green Party candidate will have those votes go to her.
