You guys are too nice. I always feel like no one really wants to see your vacation pictures, lol.

It was so beautiful though. Very green and lush. My anxiety about leaving my kids mostly went away as soon as we got on the plane, so I was able to just enjoy being on a trip with DH. Air Canada lost our bags though, we didn't get them back until day 4. Which was very frustrating and annoying. I will never check a bag again. Luckily DH and I packed a change of clothes in our carry on, but still. Oh, and they lost DH's bag coming home too- but only took a day to get it back to us that time.

We did a Globus guided tour. Which of course, has it's own pros and cons, but for the most part we were really happy with that choice. We had a fantastic guide who gave us so much information we wouldn't have found on our own, and the rest of the people on the tour were really fun. It was great meeting so many new people from different parts of the world.

My computer is acting up, so I'll have to post pictures later. It keeps freezing when I try to load them.

Sounds like you had a great time.

Sorry about the luggage.

Have a friend who overnights his luggage when traveling.

Don't know if that's better or not.

Looking out from the whisky distillery

Spoiler

Stirling Castle

Spoiler

Isle of Skye from the Ferry

Spoiler

Eilean Donnan Castle- Used to be a ruin, but was rebuilt about 100 years ago.. so not really a castle, still kind of cool to see

Spoiler

Culloden Battle field memorial

Spoiler

Sheep dog display- one of the cool parts of the tour in that I probably would have elected to skip this in favor of more time at something else, but this was really entertaining and interesting. Those dogs are so happy, energetic and well trained. It was a really good time. Plus, they had puppies to play with at the end, lol.

Spoiler

The scenery here was so beautiful. In Dunkeld on the Tay River.

Spoiler

Scone Palace

Spoiler

Edinburgh Castle

Spoiler

Highlands

Spoiler

This is where David Tennant and Sam Hueghan studied.

Spoiler

This is the coffee shop JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter in.

Spoiler

Royal Yacht Brittania- it was decommissioned in 1997. Honestly I was expecting it to be fancier- belonging the royal family and all, but this looks like my grandma's house. Makes the Queen a lot more relate-able, lol.

Spoiler

Me too. It was quite literally breathtaking. And I got vertigo in some places from the height of the trees and mountains. It was disorientating.

Thanks all. Yes it did rain, it was more like a mist though. We never really got wet or needed umbrellas.
