Can you believe it?! Summer is winding down. Still screaming hot with no rain. This call weekend has sucked. It's still Sunday on the schedule and I'm back at it. Good thing I took monday off, I'll need it!

Exhausted this morning. Corgi decided to do that pacing thing again last night. At least this time, I was slightly less worried since it had happened before. But I still didn't sleep much or well.
Just gotta get through today and tomorrow and then 2 DAYS OFF!

Safe travels, IKWTDS! Have a great vacation, you deserve the best. :)
SB, hope you are sleeping now.
Lily, hope you have a good day today.
DG, hope today and tomorrow are a breeze and the two day vacation is fun for you.
Good morning Momala!
Cleaning house today, getting ready for our vacation. I hate to come home to a messy house. Yuck!
Need to schedule the kennel for the dogs, have someone lined up to water all the gardens, need to get my browse done, call SS to change HDD's address, and probably numerous other "to do's" that I haven't thought of yet.
It rained here over the weekend, was in the 80's (absolutely beautiful weather) and today we will hit 100..gah!
Hope everyone has a descent Monday and a great week.

And I just got chewed out for not having production numbers to accounting early enough. Um, no one told me accounting needed those numbers. I'm just filling in while someone is on vacation. Don't get mad at me for not doing something you didn't tell me to do
My mom's dog had it. It's the first I'd ever heard of it & just assumed it was a dog disease. Are you saying it's also a people disease? Now we both learned something new here!

I wonder who gives it to who?

Driving to take DD to college today. She has her physical and gets her ID today and tomorrow we move her in. She is on the 9th floor...thank heavens for elevators.

How exciting for her!! How are you doing with this? Is she going to be able to come home often to visit?
DG is Corgi panting while pacing? If so have him checked for Cushing's Disease.
Yes, he was panting. My mom's beagle has Cushing's, and Corgi doesn't have any of the other symptoms. Just twice in the last 9 months. I figure it's a quirk of him being old. He's fine today, my mom checked on him and said he's fine and normal.

Ok so you are familiar with it. I didn't realize it was only twice in 9 months.
Spent last night in the ER. Couldn't breathe and my nebulizer didn't help. Turns out I have bronchitis on top of the sinus infection. Yay me!
That's no fun.
I hope you feel better soon.

I am better than I expected. Lol. She is 12 hours away by car so it won't be easy to come home but we hope to be able to travel to see her play. So that will help a bit I hope.

yes, but thanks for the suggestion. Last time he did it was like January/February and that was the first time ever.
I had never heard of it in dogs and am wondering if Monster is beginning to exhibit some of the symptoms.
On another note, it's thundering in the distance.
Again.

Stuffed, Brazilian steak house for dinner. Salad bar was out of this world. Just did sparklers, DS gets very childish when DD is around, he spoils her. He bought awesome sparklers for tonight.

I don't normally post on the dailies, but this doesn't really belong anywhere else, so, by default, the Daily wins the honor.
As most of you may know, I'm a very time limited poster. I used to post from between 11:00PM and Midnight Eastern Time. When I went to the central office to pick up my supplies for the week on Monday, my boss said "Congratulations! You've just been transferred to a new area. You've got a week to get all your stuff settled and relocate whatever needs relocating, and you can start your new assignment August 1st.
As far as my "board life" there won't be much of a change. The only difference is my posting time will shift from Eastern Time to Central Time. It will still be from 11:00PM to Midnight though.
I should have mentioned, that schedule will be starting tomorrow. I was late making arrangements for lodging tonight and don't have any early meetings tomorrow, so I thought I'd check-in with the board and see if I'd missed anything.
I hope everyone has a great August, and I'm retiring for the evening!
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone :) I'm breathing a bit better today. Chest muscles are sore from the coughing but the good news on that front is that the ER Dr found a cough medicine I can take. It's called Tessalon and it's a capsule. It works real good and I'm very thankful that there's something out there I'm not allergic to.
FNW: They gave me some good meds. Prednisone always shoos out whatever is plaguing me. I was already on the Z pack so the prednisone will help that along nicely. The Tessalon is effective at suppressing the cough. Like usual, this bout of bronchitis was brought on by an asthma attack. So was the sinus infection. My body is loving that way. And the best med? Dr sent me home with Norco. This is the first time I've been on it. Best pain med I've ever had was Demerol. Norco works quite well too and takes effect quickly. I've only took one so far since I don't like taking narcotics but will probably take another when I go to bed so I can ignore the pain enough to sleep.
IKWTDS: DS was worried about me. He gave me plenty of loves and quickly seconded DH's suggestion of going to the ER. He went to his grandparents' house when I went to the ER though since we didn't know if they were going to keep me. They gave me today to rest and will bring him home tomorrow sometime. Well, actually, later today since it's past midnight.
