My apologies. What I said may not have been clear enough, since everyone here doesn't know how the company I work for operates.

I didn't move my house and family and uproot my life. "get all your stuff settled and relocate whatever needs relocating" referred to my work materials that are kept at various Self-Storage facilities, so I have quick access to them as needed in the various cities I frequent.

New area means new cities. New cities means new storage facilities. Moving the stuff to the new facilities, and then closing out the accounts at the old ones was what was meant by "get all your stuff settled and relocate whatever needs relocating".
