This morning I stopped so Aaron could run in to get a biscuit on the way to school.
It's a combo gas station and McD's and across the front of the store are praking places.
The only two handicap parking spaces are right in front of McD's door.
This morning an SUV was parked in the area between these two parking spaces.
The area that makes one of them van accessible.
So is that or is that not parking in the handicap parking space.

Now I admit, I love to park in that first "open" spot next to a handicap spot and tend to park as close to that line as possible, so that I have more room. But I do not park on that space.

Same here. I was out front smoking one day when a handicapped van came to take a patient to the doctor next door. One of the healthcare workers was bitching to the other one about my car blocking the ramp. I didn't say anything but after they went inside I got up & looked to be sure I wasn't over the line. I wasn't. I'm not sure what her problem was. I guess it is easier for them when that space is empty.

They should take that issue up with the owner, then.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
Are we talking about that extra lined space just beside the handicapped parking? (pic below = "no parking") Yes... that is also handicapped parking. Dont park there.

I stared her down and took her picture and then blocked her in long enough to get a picture of her tag and car with her in it.
She watched me intently, and then as I was leaving, a police officer happened by.
I don't know what came of it.
But she got the icy MM stare.

That's definitely parking in handicapped parking but worse since they're not even in a spot. They're deliberately blocking access for someone who may need that space for their wheelchair ramp.
I've also noticed that the crosshatch spaces are cart magnets. As if handicap people have the ability to just hop on out and move your cart so they can get their wheelchair out.
