Nice man responds to call for help to wrong number

It was a regular work day for Dang Vuong, a 34-year-old car sales manager at a BMW dealership in England - until he received a surprise phone call from an injured woman who had dialed the wrong number. Rather than brushing off the mistake; however, Vuong rushed off to help her.

The woman, who had meant to call her granddaughter, had mistakenly dialed the car dealership after she slipped and fell while drawing a bath, ChronicleLive reports. Vuong happened to pick up the phone, and he went off to the woman's rescue after hearing what happened.

Before Vuong left the dealership showroom and traveled to the woman's home, he instructed the receptionist to keep her talking until he could get there. Once he arrived, the door was unlocked, so he went right in to help.

"When I arrived, she was in shock more than anything," Vuong told ChronicleLive. "There was blood on her face and the bath was overflowing. I told her who I was and then scooped her up, put her on the sofa and covered her with a blanket and waited until her carers and family came." The woman's family members have said they're extremely grateful for the good samaritan, as none of them would have been home for hours.

People commenting on ChronicleLive's Facebook post about Vuong are calling him a hero. Some are even saying he should be nominated for a Pride of Britain award, an honor that is awarded by the Daily Mirror to "truly remarkable people who make our world a better place."

Ok - this was a very, very, very nice thing to do. I wish more people were as kind and helpful. But calling for an award for doing this nice thing and saying this is truly remarkable thing to do is a sad commentary on society as a whole.

I read this on MSN & it made me tear up. What a good guy! I probably would have just asked for her address & called it in to 911.

Another sad commentary on our society is after thinking about the article after I read it is that I hope this doesn't come back to bite him in the azz.  Like the family suing or something because he entered the house uninvited & then scooped her up while she was presumably naked.  Cynical, I know, but it happens.

How did he know where she lived if he didn't know her?

They were talking on the phone - she must have told him her address.

I thought about the naked thing too. Actually, I thought about the SATC episode where Kerrry sent Aidan over to help Miranda after she through her back out on the bathroom floor.

Whatever it is - I have to have seen it before since IKWTDS doesn't actually let you watch the movie.

I didn't get in trouble when I've scooped up people who needed it.

Twice it was a naked 3 y.o. neighbor'ss daughter,

each of them was running around the block naked at the time.

I almost wet my pants watching Pitch Perfect 1 & 2. Especially in 2. Line of the whole movie .... "Your sweat smells like cinnamon!"

Pitch Perfect is big in this house. DD12's birthday party was a pitch perfect party. It was fun.
