Hey, it's my daily!

I love being on the west coast, I can start it when everyone is still sleeping :p

So,  how was your sleep?

Rough night. The dog once again went nuts with the storm last night.

Thunder shirt.  And no.  It wouldn't help him. We've tried similar things.  He shakes and cries even when we hold him.

Talk to the vet and get some sedatives to give him when the weather is bad. Or benadryl.

Went to Mom's last night for dinner. Celebrating Dad's birthday. He will be 78 tomorrow. Fun time. Today we're all exhausted. DH will take pool water sample to pool store to get tested and see if we need anything. He thinks the alkaline might be low or something. He'll take the boys with him and I can get laundry done and a hamster cage cleaned. I'm loving my new furniture arrangement in the living room. I'll post pictures when I'm done. I'll paint the last room in a couple days. I need to rest a bit, then on to the foyer!

I got a comfort zone plug in for Corgi's anxiety. It has worked well.

Good morning all.
Super tired this morning. A very busy week with little man and the rest of the grand's.
Ended with a funeral and a wedding yesterday.
I need to stop asking myself if I can pack more into a week..
Hope you are all having a great weekend!

I should be at church. DD12 is sick and DH is about to leave for Vegas for a business trip, so we stayed home.

Last night and this morning were also complicated by the fact that even though the dog is treated and the cats are indoor cats, somehow Bella got flea bites - and she's get a bad reaction to fleas. So I completely treated the downstairs and the cats yesterday with DE and cleaned it up this morning. What a mess, but it did clean up easier than I expected.

Just got back from the outlets. DD scored big time. I was feeling generous, plus she has the same shoe size so she got 3 pair, including a pair of the most beautiful ankle boots from Bass. She also got a top a Bass that she loves, it was pricey but, eh, like I said, I was feeling generous plus she doesn't ask for much. Also got her a large wristlet, think over sized wallet. She will need it for school, iPod, money and the unmentionables.

I also bought 3 pair of shoes; a really cute pair of flats from the clearance rack, dressy type black flip flops and sneakers. and a soup bowl with a lid to bring soup in to work, from the Corning Ware store.f

It is over 100 here today so staying inside. I will have to take the dog out soon, but that is it.

Czech, a wedding and a funeral, isn't that the name of a movie? Did you run into Hugh Grant?

Been a long day. I'm thinking I need a nap.

Homecoming at church.

Caitlyn is with friends til Thursday some time, they are leaving in the morning for Myrtle Beach.

Everyone here has retreated to their rooms and the house is quiet.

It's nice.

It looks like an air freshener plug in. It has "dog appeasing pheromones" that help to calm the dog. It's good for barking, chewing, general anxiety, etc. I used them before when I was living with my sister and we had 3 dogs in the house. And now for his nighttime anxiety. They sell them at petsmart. But it's cheaper on Amazon.

My cousin's baby shower was today. It was nice, I guess. I hate baby showers. I survived. We are back at my aunt and uncle's now. All the kids are out in the pool. Parents are watching and playing corn hole. I am avoiding them all by getting some work done. I'm really glad I thought to bring my stuff to work on in the car.

Do they have ones that work in the car? I am wondering if that would work for Aksel's car anxiety. He pants the entire trip whether it's 10 minutes or 10 hours.

It comes in a spray also. That might work.

Well we're going to go out on a limb and have the neighbor girls watch our dogs next weekend. Normally we board them at a kennel but the kennel is closed for two weeks, the next best one is full next weekend and the one after that is waaaay too expensive.

So...I'm a little nervous but I think they'll do fine. Our dogs are easy they aren't on any medications or anything like that. At least they will be in the comfort of home.

We are still here. It's about a 2 hour drive home. I'm pretty sure I'm the only person here that has to work in the morning. Sigh. Oh well, my dad is enjoying himself with his brother.

On a side note, the third brother did not come today. I am very glad. He was a total a$$hat to his older brothers a couple years ago. Tension ever since. He doesn't think he did anything wrong, so glad he decided to stay home.

The meds they gave me for the itching didn't touch the itching at all and the rash has spread and now covers the entire top of my foot. However it is now cool to the touch. I called to see if I should go back in to the urgent care and they said no, just watch to make sure it doesn't spread further. Honestly I don't think they know what they are doing. I can't believe I didn't get a topical cream for the itching. Sigh. So frustrated. The meds were supposed to make me sleepy - I was up all night. Now I am considering taking the cough medicine with codeine I have hidden away for just such emergencies. At least I know I will sleep.

DH keeps joking that I should sleep in the spare room so I don't give him MRSA. I am about ready to throttle him in his sleep.

You could probably use a cortisone cream.

Just slather on.

I have tried cortisone creams. The only thing that helped a bit is a lidocaine cream I have. It helps for about 5 - 10 minutes.

I've heard that meat tenderizer takes the itch out of bug bites, but it sounds like your situation might be a little past that phase. I hope you figure out how to get some relief.

Do you know anyone that sells Melalueca?  Their Mela-gel and melalueca oil is amazing as a topical treatment and it's not "medicine" so you don't have to worry about interactions.  It works on rashes, bug bites, almost anything.

You know how the dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding uses windex on everything?  That's Mela-gel in our house.
