It's my 9/80 Friday. I do have to review a few files but as far as work goes, that is it. Waiting on the gas company to come and turn my stove back on and fill the tank. I feel a power walk coming on but must wait for the gas man...

It's Final Friday for Wayne.

His last day at the plant.

The end of an era.

It sure was fun in the beginning.

But this last year has been awful.

I'm glad he'll be free of that place. smile

I think he'll probably take next week off.

I hope so.

He could use a break, and he hasn't taken any vacation time this year.

Other than a concert this weekend, I don't have a lot planned. If I go any where it will be local so I think I will prep the rooms I want to paint. DD's room, the upstairs hallway and the stairwell going down into the family room. I need to find a primer/paint that smooths plaster walls, the stairwell has the plaster that is swirled texture-wise and I know a paint exists that covers and makes it smooth. Guess I'll be spending the afternoon at lowes!

Washington is sure living up to its name today! Glad my plane is not outside it's raining buckets.

So I started leaving my debit card at home so I'm not tempted to spend money in the cafeteria. It's been a little over a week and I've probably saved a good 50 bucks.

I wish I could take a nap! The weather is beautiful today! Low humidity, temps around 80, mostly sunny! I have almost every window in the house open. Not sure how the weather will be over the weekend because of Hermine. It could be overcast or several inches of rain. And it may turn back into a Hurricane.

We are down to zero pets now. Our last parakeet passed away last weekend. No more birds for us. I want to be able to have DSS and DIL stay in there when they come to visit. DIL could not go in there because of the birds. Kidney patients should not be around birds since their droppings can contain a bacteria that can be fatal. I prefer having DIL alive and well. We are going to take out time before getting another pet.

Classes started last week and I have been on the go ever since. I think I am almost back in the swing of things which is great since I really have not had a structured class since December. I am trying to forget the failure period. I am trying to figure out exactly what to do for the final projects. Psychology class at least has clearer guidelines so making a choice is not too challenging, just need to narrow the topic down to a specific area. Humanities tho, the specs for choosing are a bit loose so that will take some time figuring out. I have until Thursday for that one.

DH wanted fish sticks and rice for lunch so he's making that. DS is helping him. I hope I can stomach them. Since getting mostly away from convenience foods, my stomach doesn't tolerate them all that well. It's been a few months since we've had fish sticks.

DS is enamored with Percy from Thomas and Friends so the theme of his birthday party has changed to Percy. He's really excited about having a Percy party. DH wants me to make a cake with Percy coming out of a cave. I wanted to do cupcakes for ease of serving. Maybe I can combine the two. Shouldn't be hard.
