Short week sort of. I worked all weekend but it was nice not to have to do my job and watch over the new people. Four works and maybe a call day Saturday till vacation. Not sure if the plans will cancel or not. I will have to do some fast arrangements for something else if they do!

I'm vertical.

Same party woke me up around 1, dozed back off around 4.

But I can come back home and try again in a couple hours.

It was 61 at 6:17.

I could live with these temps all year.

Congrats on your bike, IKWTS! There were no sales in my area :( I guess I'll have to wait for boxing day.

My brother and his girlfriend suggest something between a racing bike (super slim tires) and a mountain bike (tires like you described) and go for something in between. Only problem is that I don't really have anywhere to ride. The neighbourhood I'm in is all residential, so there is nowhere to ride TO. I could ride around the neighbourhood, but I've already seem most of it, so why bother?

I can't believe how fast this year is going. One of my cousins is visiting from TX next week. Last time I saw her was at my baby shower with DS. Surgery is in 2 weeks. 3 birthday parties coming up soon after surgery. Woohoo!

Ohhhh, lol. A client just sent me an email warning that someone calling to talk to me was a jackass, and copied the jackass on the email. It's bad, but I can't stop laughing.

I missed something.

I haven't posted about it. Haven't even told the in-laws yet since FIL will be heaping abuse on us over it.

It's not safe for me to go through another pregnancy so I'm getting a tubal and ablation.

 I see.

Stuff the FIL!

Stock up on Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen.

And don't plan on picking anything up for about 2 days.

Other than that, it's not bad.

Eh. I stopped responding to FIL's crap awhile ago. He's been fairly pleasant for awhile now but I know he'll blow his stack over this and I'm simply going to ignore him. It's not his decision and nothing he says is going to change anything. MIL will be sad that no more bio-grandbabies will be coming her way (unless BIL and SIL have kids) but I know she'll understand it's too risky for me to be pregnant again. I just hope that DH will refuse to be pulled into a fight with FIL regardless of what FIL says. I know FIL will start with disparaging my worth as a woman and move on to attempting to guilt trip me by saying I'm abusing DS by not giving him a sibling.

My family has known for awhile now because they don't flip their lids over stuff like this. We purposely waited this long to tell the in-laws to minimize the amount of time we'll have to deal with FIL's crap. We're telling the in-laws sometime this weekend. If you hear an explosion, that would be FIL. We're strongly considering pulling MIL aside and telling her and asking her to tell FIL after we leave since she knows best how to break news to him.

I anticipate the pain being similar to when I had my gall bladder removed. I was good as new by the next morning for the most part after that one. I've been told to expect uterine cramping due to the ablation. Nothing I can't handle. DS will be at grandma's while I heal. DH insists on being at the hospital. I hope he can manage to occupy himself once I go back for surgery and not wear a hole in the carpet by pacing.

Good luck with the surgery, chef.

At any rate, this is your (and your DH's) decision and yours alone. There's really no need for the in-laws to know anyway, is there? This sounds like personal information that no one (except us, of course) needs to know about.

I see no reason to tell them.  Just go in for some "female issues" related to pregnancy and then leave it at that.  If they keep bugging you to have more kids, just tell them that you can't due to complications from the previous pregnancy.  The details are none of their business.

I only told my parents and mawmaw when I had my tubal.

Mom was with me, mawmaw had the kids and dad was back up.

It wasn't anyone else's business.

I didn't even tell work.

Just took a couple sick days.

I had a lot pain from gas and I couldn't pick up anything heavier than my baby for a week. That was because of the stitches.

But the first 2 days, everything felt like I had caught a bullet train in my lower abdomen.

But then it was gone. Almost overnight.

My mom almost died from her tubal. That was back when they cut you open (I don't think they do, anymore, do they?), and the doctor left a sponge inside of her. She went septic.

MIL will be hurt if we don't tell her. She called me crying when I posted post-hospital visit pics last year after nearly gotten flattened by a falling tree branch. I thought DH had called them but he didn't. She said she doesn't want to find out I've been in the hospital via FB.

 No. It's laproscopic(sp?) Now.

Everything was done through my belly button.

Actually, that's when the umbilical hernia started.

I didn't listen to my doctor and didn't allow myself to heal.

I think being hospitalized for an injury is different than a scheduled medical procedure. The latter being, it's personal. And no one's business.

Speaking of injuries.

Just found out one of Caitlyn's girlfriends broke her clavicle in four places in a boating accident Sunday.

She will be having surgery in a week or so.

Whenever the swelling goes down enough.

Just got back from the optometrist - because I was just diagnosed with
diabetes, I was sent for a very thorough eye exam. Turns out I have
glaucoma - hypertension (high pressure) in the eye. They sent my
report to an opthomologist for a more extensive exam tomorrow.
That's the only thing worrying me - they didn't want me to wait even
for one day. Driving home after bell choir practice was a b1tch - every
on-coming car's lights looked like they were spotlights aiming just for
my eyes. It was probably due to the fact that they dilated my eyes.
Hope I can see better tomorrow - after all, I'm the designated driver.

It seems I'm just going to h3ll in a handbasket. First sleep apnea,
then diabetes, then glaucoma. What next? I'm supposed to be the
care-giver. Yikes.
