Having recently watched Adam West and Burt Ward cavorting together (and frequently getting tied up together), I googled "is batman gay?".

The most disturbing thing I read was that someone got a PH.D. in the cultural history of Batman. 

That seems wrong to me. 

Discuss, please.

Batman was definitely not gay. However, the director shooting that show may have been.

I started thinking about this after Bunny asked why Robin lived with Batman.
I told him that Bruce Wayne adopted him.
And then I realized that he spent all his free time wearing spandex with a teenage boy.

He did adopt him in a way.

Not legally but took him in.

But Robin was a young man, 17-18, when this happened.

Hey, leave Sponge Bob out of this. He's my fav.....

They are comic book characters made up in a time when gay meant happy. And men were men and married women, regardless of who or what they were attracted to. I don't think sexual orientation was even considered.  I don't believe spandex was invented anyway.  They wore tights.
