I loaded up on evergreens in my yard, Lily. Lots of hollies, cryptomeria, green giants, magnolia, etc. I want berries and greenery to peek through the snow!

Got rude awakening at 7:00 this a.m. - someone, "caller unknown",
kept calling and calling and calling - let the phone ring 3 times, then
hung up. Grrr. I am NOT a morning person!

DH is taking #1 to doctor, x-rays, etc., to see if his hand/finger is broken. School calls and asks where #2 is, saying he was marked absent. WTF? Find him! After staring at the phone for what seemed like an eternity, I called them back and asked if they found him. Oh, let me check, hold on. A few seconds and a heart attack later, yes, they received confirmation from his art teacher he was in class.

Only when he tries to move it does it hurt. He banged it on the wine cabinet last week, when his brother tried to kick him and he pulled his hand away. It became swollen and started bruising. Yesterday he re-injured it playing football. DH took him to the doc today and had x-rays taken which confirmed the break. I'm taking him to a hand specialist to see what they can do.

Made an apple pie for DH since it is finally fall.
Cut out a quilt and have about a third of it together. Foggy and rainy, so I had an excuse to quilt.
