OK, i have been work with this certain lady for years. She really is at the stage of life where she should retire. However, she claims to not have any money all the time, etc. That may be true. I dont' really know. However, she comes to work very angry and hostile and acts in a passive aggressive way. She isn't very high on the food chain so i guess she doesn't feel she can just come out and say what she thinks. It is now to the point where if someone makes a reasonable request about the job, she punishes them with sighing, huffing, etc. It's just damned annoying! She's always mad at someone!
A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
People such as your co worker are toxic. You are best to leave her alone, try to have minimal interaction with her. If your job requires to ask her to do something, email her, Ccing your boss and her's. Give her a suspense date.

I know someone who constantly complains about money and she needs a second job. She got one, and quit after 2 days - it was two hard. She finally got another one that she actually loves, but they told her she has to start at 3 each day she works, so she's only working Saturdays right now and says she needs to find another job she can work a couple of more days. The thing is, we only have 3 months left in the year, and she has 15 vacation days left. She can take them by the hour and she's already taken 2 vacations this year. She could easily go twenty weeks on those 15 days leaving 2 hours early twice a week. If she cuts her lunch hour in half, she can leave at 2:30 to get to the other job at 3. The office manager has okayed this, and she doesn't want to do it. Her vacation starts over again in January. She has PLENTY. I don't get it.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
Our people who whine about money always have a reason why they can't take call. Call pay adds up so fast. Can't stand people who won't help themselves.
I am working with some people who are in nearly retirement age, yet they constantly say they have "no money". Like i might be chatting with a coworker that i went out to eat at Denny's and they will say "they can't afford to eat out'. I mean, really, you have been working for 35 years and you can't even go out to eat once in a while? Also another coworker enlisted a house keeper. And, when i say housekeeper around here, it means someone who comes once a week that cleans your bathrooms and mops your floor for like $50. And, when that coworker walked away, this particular coworker whom i am speaking of said the other coworker was "bragging about having a housekeeper". I was like Huh? She simply mentioned in it passing, and there was no "brag" there, only to her.

I think some people like to complain. And if they are getting up there in years and have no money, they are living beyond their means, probably have been most of their lives.

OMG vtveggie I LMAO'd over that one. I used to work in a cubicle environment and had the same thing with one of my cubemates. HHAHAHA. Love her dearly, but she had allergies or something.
Sadly, in a couple of years my office will be moving and merging with two other offices and I will be once again faced with working in a cubicle environment. Seems to be the trend, to share workspace. Even my DH, who is in corporate management, went from a corner office with a view to a conference room/teaming environment.
I abhor the "open office" trend. No one gets anything done and it's impossible to concentrate. Glad I only worked in an office environment for 2 years. That boss loved what ever was trendy and we that open space crap. You have to use earplugs or headphones if you want to accomplish anything. It saves space and they can cram more people into a smaller space. That's the only plus.

And cramming more people into a smaller space benefits the employer, not the employee. I'm not looking forward to it.
I can't. This site was pulled up by IT. Man, almost got fired. I bury it but it then reappears! They read word for word what I said on another group. Ugh.

Once I bought a smart phone, I no longer pulled up any personal emails, sites, etc at work. For the most part, nothing will happen even if IT is watching, but if someone is looking to get you fired, it will be used against you. Plus I didn't want all that info accessible anyway.
