yes. My niece & nephew bought a two family house. Cut down on rents in Boston. I adore them. They'll each get a mixer for a housewarming gift. I got the stainless steel color. Great price on QVC.
Morning everyone. Gorgeous day here. I slept with the windows open. I love the fresh air but it is rare for the weather to be nice enough. Probably the biggest reason I love Fall.

Stormed here last night and now we have a cool cloudy day. Chance of frost Thursday night! So glad I spent yesterday planting bulbs and new mums. Now to finish cleaning the rest of the garden beds when it dries out. Ugh, my body hurts..

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
My niece's wedding is this Saturday, on the beach in SC right when the tropical storm is supposed to hit. My brother tried to rent the big party tents but nobody will rent them because the winds are too strong & will rip them apart. The poor thing is in tears. They are trying to reschedule for Sunday after the storm blows through. I feel terrible for her but am so glad I decided not to be part of the chaos.

I think it is usually September, but yeah early October isn't unheard of. I made the same comment about poor planning yesterday. I had assumed all along the ceremony was out on the sand but that the reception was indoors since they are at a venue not just some public beach.
Planned an outdoor wedding, it rained. We used our backup plan which was inside the nature center. I was married in front of the fish tanks. It's funny now, it wasn't quite a funny then.

Hurricane season is from the middle of June thru November with the peak being mid-August to mid/late-October. My mom is prepping in case she needs to be evacuated in Florida. She is along the space coast and close to the water.
It was a beautiful June Saturday and the huge trees gave just the right shade.
My biggest worry that day, was that a bee would fly up my dress.

Mandatory evacuation of all SC coastal areas starting 3pm tomorrow. I have to work in the morning. We are cancelling cases but need to go in and batten down the hatches. Will probably get caught in evacuation traffic since I live on the evacuation route outside town. Whole hospital will probably be evacuated. I managed to get a hotel room in Augusta. Not leaving till Thursday. The storm isn't supposed to hit till late Thursday, early Friday.

Bubble wrap! Lindley you so need to get some and next time he is over wrap him in it and let him roll around. You will get the Grandmother of life award. Heck wrap me in it and let me roll around and you will get the Geek life award.

If you can find one, get a silver dollar, put it in a zip-top
baggie, and put it in the freezer. Next time little one gets
a bump on the head, grab the silver dollar and press it on
the bump. Don't know why it works, but my mother did
this for me, and I never got more than a small bump.
Since he's now of an age when he will get lots of scrapes
and bruises, take a dark wash cloth, dip in water, wring it
out, and place it flat in a zip-top baggie, & freeze it. The
next time he comes in after falling and scraping his knee,
take the frozen wash cloth and bend it to fit over his knee.
The cloth is cold, but not uncomfortable. The dark color
will prevent him from seeing any blood, which might
alarm him.
