OMG! I finally got a freaking day off! Yay! Today is my son's 19th birthday. I am going to bake him a cake. He likes yellow cake with white icing. I was going to cook him dinner but my 5th grade team has a basketball game tonight. So, tomorrow we are going out to dinner.

Loving the beautiful fall weather here. Sunny, 70s and blue skies.
So far, it looks like Mom's area is relatively safe. Hurricane did not land and stayed out to sea. But there is still the storm surge to worry about. Hope she stays at aunt's until tomorrow.
Schoolwork crazy! Everything is due Sunday night and I am nowhere ready to turn anything in. I really need to manage the timing of this better.

My client didn't show up today. Made me sad. It's her first day out of the remand center. I had a whole celebratory muffin (with a candle even!) waiting here. And now I'm sad. And a little worried for her safety and her risk of relapse and recidivism.

Got home from the hospital and found the house hot - 86!
Turned off the cooling part of the a/c, turned the fan from
auto to on, and now just waiting. Called my a/c repair man -
he'll be here some time tomorrow - he'll take care of every-
thing, and put a bill on the counter. LOVE his company!
