I would look for Chao by Field Roast vegan cheese. It even comes in slices. It's the best tasting brand by far. Daiya is ok, it's pretty well distributed so you will probably be able to find that one easily. Also look for Follow Your Heart vegan cheese it's not bad.

You could ask her parents how they substitute cheese and what they use.

The dairy free person is the mom of 2 of the guests. She simply doesn't eat cheese in her day-to-day life.

I'm making her dairy free cupcakes since the main cake won't be dairy free.

If she is the mom of the guests, I wouldn't worry about it.  Have a veggie tray and a fruit option and be done.  She likely eats before coming to these things and doesn't really on kid party food.

I have the veggie tray covered. Bell pepper veggie trains. Probably will have some grapes too.

She's not the only guest with an allergy. I have one that's allergic to black pepper and another that's allergic to shellfish and cinnamon. I don't making sure they just as many options as the people without allergies.

Now you see?  I bet LL gasped when she read these bolded words.

We just made cinnamon buttermilk pancakes.  Cinnamon is such an incredible spice.  I wonder if she's allergic to all cinnamon?  Because cinnamon can come from several different kinds of trees.  Saigon cinnamon is considered the best - and if you try to mix it into liquid, it will not sink or dissolve, it floats on top and actually remains dry.  Because it is bark.

I sprinkle pumpkin pie spice into my coffee this time of the year. Sure, it floats so I get most of it in the first few sips, but they are tasty sips.

I sometimes do that with hot chocolate. Or I'll just use cinnamon. Love sprinkling either on top of the whipped cream.
