I'm also thinking of re-painting the kitchen to match the family room, since that area is open concept. The cabinets are white, molding is white, but the floors will be the same maple hardwoods once the reno is complete. The backsplash is stone tiles-beige with white veins. The countertops are grannite-black/white with a touch of brown veining.
