I'd love a vanity area! My bathroom needs to be remodeled but I'm torn on putting money into the house in a crappy neighborhood or saving so I can eventually move back to Florida.

Where do you want to retire?

I have an older house, so my master bath is really strange. I have a dressing area that has a sink, vanity, and mirror as a smaller open room to my bedroom. Off of that is my shower/toilet (this has a door). Really strange set up, but I love it. But alas, there is no window in the shower room. I would have loved to have one either over the shower or over the toilet. Both are on outside walls. It's not cheap...:(

 Get a solartube thingy.

What's that?  I hope it's not too expensive.  These windows cost a small fortune...

Ooh ooh ooh!  That's sweet! I'm going to look into this.  Thank you!

 Me, too!

 Those are the best days.

Nights, too.

They wear themselves out.

Solar tubes run about $200-300 apiece here. They're on my list of stuff I'd like to do to the house. Our living room and kitchen are dark. I think the tubes would help with that.
Husband's grandparents had them in their house and they were really great.

Near my family of course. My brother isn't in the best health and will probably need someone to help him sooner than an average person. I really hate to say it but the sister in the same area as DB isn't in the best mental health.  I just feel like I should be closer than I am now.

There is your answer, save up and buy something near your family.

Solar tube are much less than the skylight and less chance of leaking.  My mother has these in her condo. They are awesome.

Corgi is going to the vet tomorrow to get a tooth removed. I'm already a nervous wreck. He can't have anything after 10 tonight. He's not going to be impressed with the no breakfast tomorrow.

Yep! DS is about to zonk out on the couch.

They're 6 months apart. DS is older. Z is just like DS was 6 months ago. It's a trip back in time for me.
