Ah, small town life. I am in charge of tracking attendance for the production workers. One of the guys was late yesterday. The reason written on the form was "cows got loose and he had to get them in"

I'm pretty excited! I get to have my whole family together and the girls get introduced to another American custom which is celebrating Halloween. I hope a lot of deer visit us while they're here and squirrels too! They are real city girls.

I learned, from reading about it in his daughter's blog, that my old friend (the sociopath) died a couple months ago. Trying to find out how....she said it was horrific, the stuff that horror movies are made of. I suspected in our recent conversations prior to his death that he was contemplating suicide, but he also said he had a tumor on his lung and MS so who knows.

I have been so busy for almost 2 months. The barely able to breathe busy. So it's weird right now. I'm not sure what to do. I don't have some deadline critical project to finish. I don't know what to do with myself.

I am in touch with the estranged wife. She gave me her phone number. I might call her tomorrow. She is in contact with his ex-wife, too. So we are sharing stories and piecing together the truths. I'll let you know. Flood of emotions.

Beautiful fall day here. DS enjoyed the last Kids Club for the year. They celebrate the birthdays from the last day of Kids Club to Dec 31 on the last day each year. DS very much enjoyed his free birthday ice cream.

Got my registration renewed for the year. Next year will require a smog test. I always dread those because of the potential for my truck to not pass. She's getting older.

Boy, the stories he fed his wife are incredible. Iraq veteran, etc. She fell hard and fast for him, and he moved in with her after 2 weeks. She started to notice things weren't right. Said he had a big time drug problem.
