TOPIC: Clinton has already planned a fireworks-filled victory party due to start just 30 minutes after the polls close
Talk about tempting providence. Hillary Clinton has already organised an Election Night celebration party in New York complete with fireworks which would kick off only 30 minutes after the polls close.
The New York Fire Department and the NYPD have both been notified in advance of plans for a pyrotechnic display launched from a barge in the Hudson, just off Manhattan’s Javits Center next Tuesday night.
The New York Post says the two-minute fireworks display could start as early as 9.30pm local time, only 30 minutes after the polls close in New York and hours before voters cast their final ballots on the West Coast.

Fireworks displays are common in New York to celebrate Independence Day but this would be the first time one would be used for an election victory party
Mrs Clinton and her running mate, Virginia senator Tim Kaine, are both planning to base themselves in New York on November 8.
News of the victory party is akin to the Cleveland Indians announcing plans for celebrating winning the World Series, with them leading the Cubs 3-2 with possibly two games to play.
Mrs Clinton is still ahead in the polls but Donald Trump has been closing the gap in recent days and presidential elections are notoriously hard to call.
In 1948 President Harry Truman was famously photographed holding a copy of the Chicago Daily Tribune which had gone to press with the headline 'Dewey Defeats Truman'.
The Republican Thomas Dewey had been the hot favorite to beat Truman but the incumbent won one of the closest elections ever.

More recently, in 2000, Vice President Al Gore thought he had the election in the bag until the infamous hanging chads in Florida gave it to George W .Bush.
With a week to go in the campaign Mrs Clinton has found herself and her emails back in the spotlight again and Trump is surging in some polls as a result.
The Post says an FDNY memo - ironically sent out on Friday, the same day FBI director James Comey made his intervention - ordered its Marine 1 company to provide protection for the fireworks show.
The memo says Mrs Clinton’s campaign have hired New Jersey-based Garden State Fireworks to put on the show.

One New York detective told the Post: 'It’s a little presumptuous of her to plan on winning. I guess she put in for this before Friday.'
Both Clinton and Trump are planning to be in New York on election night.
Clinton is a former New York Senator and her daughter Chelsea lives in the city with her husband, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky.
Queens-born Trump also has roots in the city and made much of his fortune and fame in Manhattan and in nearby Atlantic City.
But New York state has voted Democrat in every presidential election since Ronald Reagan's 1984 landslide victory.
so... they are SO sure they are gonna win that they are already planning a party? Good thing I am not jumping to conclusions and taking this to mean you are rigging the election.
Either way, I think this country is on a downward spiral we can't come back from without divine intervention.

It's just one of those propaganda statements to say to the world she is expected to win. Same as when she kept asking Trump would he accept if he lost the election. it's BS.

This is the one thing that I'm not going to lose sleep over.
I believe that Trump is planning something for his victory party as well.
Planning for the victory party isn't a sign that you know something is rigged - unless you are behind something like 5% for you and 95% for the other side.
Why no cries about her 'suppressing the vote"? Why is that the Dems can run around claiming they have it in the bag and Hillary is a sure thing, blah, blah? Isn't that "suppressing the vote" which they constantly Beitch about? What about the dead voters and the fraud they engage in which is disenfranchising voters? What an absolutely corrupt disgusting Party.
I disagree. There's a legitimate possibility her being elected could come to pass. I hope it doesn't happen, but it isn't beyond the realm of possibility.
She's got the boyfriend. She conned him into proposing (or did the proposing herself). She planned the wedding. The only question is: Will he show up for the vows or will he come to his senses and leave town?
I hate to say it, but I really doubt Trump will be President.
There has been way too much fraud already discovered.
But honestly, I'm not really sure either is a better choice.

I wish we could just start all over and pick new people. This election makes my head hurt.
It has been brutal.

I cannot believe people can ignore all the corruption about Hillary. Do they REALLY think the director of the FBI would come out and chance ruining his career a week before the election over nothing?
Gah!

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
People have been blindly following the wrong leaders since the beginning of time.
You know that verse in the Bible about God turning away and leaving people to their depravity?
Well.
The depravity is stronger than ever.

What? She can't contest. She must accept the election results of the world will stop spinning.
LOL, yep I get that she asked Trump that. but of course, it is only the Dems that have contested results.
