Beer for dinner. I thought the stuff was on sale. Nope. I forgot, I must start shopping for Mr. Diamond. His birthday is coming up. Eh, I'll go make coffee and snack.

Got some good rain Tuesday and yesterday - great for DH's
Fall tomatoes. We had the first of them yesterday in a salad.

Getting ready to rain here. We could use it. #2 slept through the night for the first time this week. His coughing seems to be slowing down, sans medicine which is always a good thing. And that means I slept through the night, which will make for a more pleasant evening at the FNW house.

Went to Ulta and bought some fun stuff at lunchtime. Time to work. LOL

I was hoping there would be more talk about gravy on this thread. Oh well. Everyone is having so much fun shopping. I have only a few more things to pick up. Hopefully my budget will win out!

I was at Toys R Us a few days ago. Looking at baby stuff that I don't get to buy. Due to the whole no-relationship-no-family thing. Does anyone have a single cousin, brother, BIL, etc. that would be acceptable marriage material? I'm beginning to consider an arranged marriage at this point.

I have a brother.

Ph.d, divorced, kids are older and live with their mom, he's a good guy. Likes to travel, doesn't need a lot of fuss made over him.

Works hard, can fix about anything.

I have a cousin. He's a little weird, super nice, but a little strange. Although, people who aren't related to him seem to think he's normal.

Speaking of gravy.......I went to Logan's for lunch & got the buttermilk fried chicken breast smothered in white gravy. I'm not sure if this thread caused me to make that choice or not.

Tig I have a ravishingly handsome cousin. He has a beautiful deep voice. He is laid back & funny. Loves to travel. But he's not much for working. He's currently unemployed & going to California to hike & camp for a few weeks & not the least bit concerned about money. He drives the rest of us crazy. But he seems very content with his life.

We were at the playground at the zoo and my dil and him went down the slide and her leg bumped his into the side on the way down. I'm just as worried about her, she feels like a horrible mommy and is very upset with herself. It was just a freak accident.

Poor mom. She will feel bad longer than it takes for that leg to heal.

I think we've all done something or other like that.

Tell her that you have a friend who when she was about 5, her dad hit her in the face with a basketball and knocked out 3 teeth. And I'm - I mean she, is well adjusted and loves her dad. Little guy will be good as new in no time and has a good party story.

When my daughter was 7, she fell off a swing and hurt her shoulder.  Yeah, 5 days later, I take her to the doctor because it's not getting any better and she had a broken collarbone.  BROKEN, not fractured.  I felt like schitt for a LONG time.  She laughs about it now...so tell your dil these stories.  She's not the first and will certainly not be the last...

My bff was carrying her toddler up her front steps & didn't realize they were icy. She fell with him & his head slammed into the concrete. He had a huge goose egg & most likely a mild concussion. He recovered just fine.

My dad waxed my new slide and it was so slick I flew off the bottom and broke my tailbone. I was 4.

At 6, he was pushing me on the swing, I fell off backwards and broke my tailbone, again.

I broke my brother's nose with a basebal. Scratched his cornea while playing "circus".

Caitlyn was 3 when she grabbed a hot iron and badly burned her hand while mom was ironing.

I fell going up some stairs while carrying Jesse, he was about 4 months old.

When DS was 9 months, I put him in his car seat in the car to drive ex dead dh to work. WHen I shut the door I didn't see that DS had curled is little cute baby fingers around part of the door jam. I drove away and within 30 seconds he turned red and started screaming.

My oldest sister, dragged my other sis across the living room rug. The five of us kids were left alone, oldest sis was maybe 17 at the time. Well my two brothers had just broken a vase in the living room horsing around, so my sis' arm was dragged through the broken glass. What a bloody mess!

This has been sitting on the sidewalk on one of the main roads for over a week. There really isn't a residence anywhere nearby.

What is it SB?

These injury stories, I can't decide whether to laugh or be horrified! I'll go ahead and laugh hahaha

At a family reunion at my dad's house my then toddler brother fell into a little pond in the back yard (over his head). Everyone thought everyone else was keeping an eye on him, and when I heard him cry I jumped in and drug him out of there. (Is it drug or dragged?)
