You are considering two hutch/chest of drawers.
The one you pick is a beautiful, rich mahogany. 100-150 years old at least.
It is about 5 feet tall, it has two doors on top and 3 or 4 drawers on bottom.
The bottom is slightly larger than the top, kind of pear shape if you will.
You go to pay for it, and now we are talking to someone and they give you a discount of $150.
You ask why and that's when I wake up.
It's a beautiful piece.

I have a Secretary, about 130 YO. I think the glass is original. Has the mushroom handles, no screws, which speaks to the age of it. I am about done with it though. Need to find it a good home and make some money on it.
I also have a huge mahogany dining table, at it's smallest it is round and probably 4X4, at it's largest it is over 100" long. I have custom made pads for it for when you want to protect it from hot dishes. The piece is stunning, hand made and all that. I suspect it too is well over 100 YO.
