I don't think it's about being liberal or conservative.

When I said they don't any other way, I meant that the youth of today have only had now as a reference.

They don't know less taxes and better Living like we've known.

It's their normal to have a lot of taxes taken out.

"Kids" rarely make the best decisions. I think most people still have maturing left to do until well into their late 20's to early 30's.

BTW, all this whining about the Electoral college. If the Dems are sooo serious about that, then they need to first fix their OWN primaries and their Super Delegates which guaranteed that Bernie or any other Dem had absolutely no chance.

The Trump Effect. Happening already. Apple is now planning to build iphones in the USA. Ford is not going to close it's Lincoln plant to take to Mexico but remain here. TPP is dead.

Is anyone surprised about this? I'm not.

It's ridiculously easy to grab a sign that somehow supports Trump ("Trump2016", "I support Trump", "Trump/Pence", and so forth) and then do bad things to give Trump supporters bad names. It's not like supporters are permanently physically branded as such with a big "T" on their forehead.

I've often guessed it was Hillary supporters stirring up trouble.

I am curious....has anyone ever heard of the White Nationalists? They were meeting in DC over the weekend and supposedly chant, "Hail Trump." It's pretty unnerving, if true.

I understand the First Lady will not be living there so that their son finish school in NYC. He will be in NYC a lot. George Washington never resided there either. Obama may have lived there, but he was gone a lot, too. In this day and age, business can really be conducted anywhere. Personally, I think he might be safer elsewhere.

Seceding, on the other hand - not so great. Also not legal anymore. That door was closed in 1869. The Southern states had the right to secede. However after the Civil War, there was a case that made it's way to the Supreme Court: Texas v. White, 74 U.S. 700.

The finding in that case was that secession was unconstitutional unless through revolution or with consent of the states.
