California won't secede, they don't have any money. But whatever, do what they want. Even though I miss my family and friends out there, I don't regret leaving the state.

Of any state to threaten to secede, I think Texas would have the best chance at making it happen and making it stick. They are on their own power grid and have already stored up gold from what I hear.

I believe Texas was once their own country before it joined the States. I could be wrong but legally they can raise the Texas flag the same height has the American flag. Correct me if I'm wrong fwm.

That's actually a myth, Lindley.

Any state can fly their flag at the same height as the American flag.

It's all about the position of the flags.

I think the American flag should be at the right of the state flag, if I remember correctly.wink

Canada is Federal highest (maple leaf) and on the left. Provincial is slightly lower and to the right of the Maple Leaf. Local flags or organizational flags are slightly lower and to the right of all the others. During times of mourning all flags are half-staff.

 So the proper way to display the American Flag is exactly this; It must be the prominent one. Although we are sovereign states and if one doesn't want to honer that it is fine by me.

 Totally not my house.  I've seen houses with the flag in the window often though.  The other flag of choice is the skull and crossbones.  I guess that that one doesn't abide by Federal height regulation.  That would sort of defeat the point of piracy!
