Stick to modeling': Gigi Hadid is savaged on Twitter for 'racist' Melania Trump impression in which she puts on Eastern European accent during debut hosting gig at American Music Awards
You betcha! BTW, Melania speaks 5 languages, so go ahead and mock her. But, funny, i would think that mocking someone's accent would be considered racist. Oh yeah, they can't be racist, i forgot.
And, btw, mockery and derision are the absolute tools of the bullies that they are always railing about. And, you don't want to teach your kids to bully, then maybe start applying that yourselves.

I do find myself listening more to the classic country and rock stations.
I'd rather hear Loretta than Taylor.

Her 1989 album is the Bomb Diggity. This is one of the best albums ever put together. Every song is a gem in it's own right.
I just thought "Taylor Swift put out an album in 1989? Was she even born yet??"
As to the mocking ... shows like SNL and others seem to mock everyone. Each person gets their turn. Melania and Trump are going to get their turn. Hilary got it GOOD on SNL.
I dont think anyone talking about TS thinks an album was put out in 1989????? But alrighty then. Wow.
Actually, I had a moment of it. Which I then explained. And now you're insinuating I'm an idiot. Good thing I gave you a chance there and assumed that your question wasn't bait after my question on the other thread. Doesn't matter either way, apparently. Can't have a civil discussion with you.

I didn't know that was the album title.

Taylor Swift has some perfectly good songs, but she is not the end all, be all of music. And knowing who her groupies are should really not be considered a priority for an adult with a life.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
I didn't say she was the "end all, be all". I said she was quite talented. Which she is. There are a lot of talented artists. She writes her own music as well, so I think that is a plus.
I didn't know about 1989, and at first glance, I thought you meant she put an album out in 1989 called Bomb Diggity. LOL I'm old.
When she did country, I thought, "this girl can't carry a note in a bucket." And I never understood why the established country singers seemed to be so so protective of her. Now that she's pop, I do like some of her songs. And I do think she is a positive role model for young girls. Cute without having to bare her body parts. A tween version of Carrie Underwood, although Carrie has a much better voice. And I do enjoy seeing which boyfriend she is going to write about next. LOL
I dont' think music is just about a "better voice". I doubt that Bob Dylan or Rod Stewart would have won American Idol, lol. Music is like a garden. What's wrong with a variety. Taylor Swift is not Adele. But, Adele is not the same kind of performer as Lady Gaga either. Gaga has an OK voice but she won't ever sing like Adele. I can enjoy them all.
I heard LG sing Born this Way a cappella and she was fantastic. I think she has a very good, strong voice. Adele is unique in her own way, too.
I agree it is about the "total package", but when I turn on the radio, if I hear a screechy voice, I'll change the station. Even if I might enjoy watching their video.
well, am a musician so have always believed that streisand is the best singer that's ever lived--after that, sinatra--there are many folks out there with beautiful voices but of all of them
the former two possess(ed) as near to perfect as have ever heard--pitch, control, timbre, everything

Actually, what you said is that people who don't know who her groupie is are old and out of touch.

LL, that is actually what WE thought as teens and that is exactly what they think.
My teens think Taylor sucks and that she is whiny and a serial dater.

I love Taylor Swift. Established country singers were protective of her because she was 14 when she moved to Tennessee to pursue her musical career. Of course they would be protective of her. She was just a child. She is extremely talented. She is the youngest artist ever signed by Big Machine Records. Even if you don't like her brand of music, I'm not sure how you could say she "sucked". That's just stupid.
I can understand a 14 year old being enamored by her.
But she is pretty.
And Kenye was wrong to do what he did.
I also think she handled that well.
I don't like her music.

I didn't like her earliest music but she grew as an artist as she matured & I liked a lot of her music. Then she decided to leave country & I haven't heard any of her newest pop music.

I don't remember them being as protective of LeAnn Rimes or Tanya Tucker, both of which were quite young in the business. Tanya was only 13 and LeAnn was 14.
