Next up... Thanksgiving leftovers Shepherd's PIE! YUM! It is where you put all the thanksgiving leftovers in a pie, top it with the mash potatoes, and bake it.
How much eating do you all do during a typical Thanksgiving? How many sides, appetizers, etc? Do you start by preparing a big breakfast, then lunch and appetizers all day followed by the meal and evening of grazing desserts, etc? I was talking to one guy at work and they have a big breakfast, then appetizers, then lasagna for lunch and dinner later. I honestly dont' think i could eat that much in one day! We dont' eat breakfast. Maybe something small. Then i put out a cheese and cracker tray, veggies, chips and dip which pretty much is lunch. And, then we usually eat about 3 pm. I only make one pie for dessert because that is really all they want.
So, interesting this year. Sis did mashed potatoes, a kale salad, and mushroom casserole side. No butternut squash or the typical sides. It was all delish.

We don't have a typical Thanksgiving. Some years we go out to eat, some years we go to family, some we host, some we are alone.
This year, we were alone. I made osso bucco yesterday but am cooking a turkey today with a few simple sides.
If hosting or going to family, we have a normal breakfast then the main meal is usually around 3:00ish. There may be a few appetizers before eating to keep people out of the kitchen while last minute preparations are going on.
If we are going out to eat, everything depends on what time we are eating. If it is 5:00 or later, then breakfast, mid-afternoon snack then dinner. If it is more lunch like, then we have a light breakfast and usually some soup later in the evening.
We had a nice thanksgiving, dgrandson and parents stayed the night so we can watch a Christmas movie together and he can go to bed. Woke up to him crawling on the bed with a big smile, snuggling and a baby kiss❤️ Had pumpkin pancakes and bacon for breakfast.

What a wonderful way to wake up!

Awe, I love this! Little man snuggles and morning kisses are the best. Lucky you!
