DH put the lights up outside over the weekend. The inside is still in turmoil, as construction is ongoing. I'm working from home today and the painter is here. Floors will go in tomorrow. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hey look! I still have internet! I sort of want to sneak into the upstairs part of the house and steal the modem. There is such chaos for them right now that they'd all think someone else took it to the new house and then have a terrible time finding it and then by the time they realize it's not there I'll have my new one!

The new owner is keeping all three of us so thankfully there will be no job hunting/unemployment. While the whole situation svcks my boss did good by all of us. She had 4 potential buyers & picked the one that was best for us. She chose what was best for her clients as well.
So why is it your last day of work if the new owner is keeping you, lexxy? I'm confused.
I meant it was our last day here. We have all been here forever. It is the closing of an era for us. We start the new job Thursday. We are all dreading it. Sort of like switching schools mid season. We have a really nice space here & we are moving in with 9 other people & will be squished in 3 to an office. It will shake itself out but for now it is scary & new.
Thanks for clarifying, Lexxy. Our offices will be moving in a couple years as well. No offices, and I don't think we'll even have cubes. Just one big room with work spaces. No one is looking forward to it, but we'll adapt. We'll have to. It's the wave of the future....
I'm sorry lexcy, hope that you and you coworkers find the new place welcoming and prosperous. Tried to get the little man down for a nap but my husband came home for something and as I was laying down the finally asleep baby the garage door opened and little man sat up like a shot and said dada. 😒 So he did not go back to sleep. He went home early so I'm sure he will get his nap at home.
