Jojo decided the read the Gingerbread Man before bed last night, so I'm sitting there listening to her read what should be a simple story.
We get to the first couple of pages and the older couple is so sad because they have no children. So Jojo say's "Why don't they just get pregnant?" and I say "Not everyone can get pregnant sometimes."
So guess what the next question is? "Mommy, how do you get pregnant?"
Wham! Out of the blue, the big question! From my 6 year old.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
I can see that. Seems like a logical next question in that situation.
What did you say?
Caitlyn was 4 when she asked.
Morning.

Getting to go home and drink! Bye! Have a good day!
Fixed it!
My boys haven't asked too much because they know the doctors helped me make them. I started to tell them about eggs and such, but they got bored and left the room before I could get to the good part.

Fixed it again because you left out the important part.

Well, I told her that when 2 people love each other, they put their bodies together and make a baby. When she asked how, I just told her I didn't thimnk she was old enough to understand the details, that was more for 3rd or 4th grade.

But what are you going to do when she comes home with a note from the teacher talking about it?
Or better yet, one of her male classmates hug her and she screams "NO! I'LL GET PREGNANT! "
I'm playing, of course.
Sorta.
Kids.

Haha I like that, that's a good way to say it.

So a good friend of mine told me her BF of 11 years now has a cancerous cyst on his spine. He was diagnosed with prostrate cancer 3 years ago, went through all the treatments, been good for a year. His back really started bothering him 6 or so months ago. She finally pushed his doc to do an MRI the other day, Doc was reluctant to do one so quick, said it was probably just a slipped, compressed disk. Nope it is cancerous cyst on his spine. The cancer spread. My guess is he has about two years. Maybe less. I am so sad for her and of course him. I really like them a lot. He wants to get married, has proposed at least once a year for the past 5 years. She is reluctant because they have both been very independent most of their lives. I just told her to marry him. It is what he wants and sadly will be for only a few years at best. It is so sad.

Do any of you have the delayed start option on your oven?
I had no idea those existed.
Man.
That could change my life!

I had no idea that feature even existed, much less that it isn't new.

Now, if they would just invent an oven with a cooling feature until time to turn the oven on, that would be perfect!
My MIL would just put casseroles in her oven frozen with the oven timer set to go on at a particular time and when she got home dinner would be ready. Not sure how safe that really is, but it worked for her.
We are on the way to our first Jewish Wedding. Im excited!
I was maid of honor in one. Her Dad bet me $100 if I could find her a Jewish hubby. I did! Right in the middle of the ceremony he walked up and handed me the $100! Everyone was dying laughing!
Great time. My Dad (RIP) was there. He was laughing away!
