Lol. So I like tacos. Tacos for dinner tonight.

just stopped for coffee at our local convenience store. They have an automatic dispenser, push your size and it grinds the beans and pours your selected size. Lady behind me told someone she doesn't let the first part go into her cup. Because that's the part that has the caffeine .  Huh?

Does that mean only the first bite of chocolate cake is fattening?

Morning!

It's cold.

I know, not snow on the ground, can't feel your butt cheeks cold, but cold for us.

I get back to work to find that the president directed the new receptionist to shred some files. Files I needed. Granted, I can survive without them, but they were a good reference from the person that had the job before me. Sigh. My day just got more complicated

Good morning, Good Geeks.

Dense fog here. Folks are playing crashy cars all over the place.

It should lift by 10 o'clock or so.

I don't think I'll run any errands until then.

Good luck, Czech! I hope you win the battle!

For you all that live in cold areas, do you wear lined slacks? Where do you buy them? I used to have a pair of flannel lined twill slacks from Cabelas. Now that I've lost weight I want some new ones and can't find them anywhere.

See why I wouldn't survive in cold weather. It's in the 30's here and I want flannel lined slacks. If I lived where it was colder than that and I'd be wanting goose down undies.

Just got an automated call saying my kid is absent from school.

Uhhh..... No he aint, I dropped him off myself!

I called. It's a computer glitch.

Thanks for the adrenaline rush!

Shucks, Woolrich doesn't have my size. I was all excited for a moment.

LL Bean's have cargo pants with a drawstring waist. That's not dressy enough for what I need. hmm

I would roast to death in lined pants. Only time I would need them is when I am outside for any length of time. My car has heated seats and the rest of my time is indoors where the heat works.

These aren't lined with fleece or flannel, but they are lined wool: www.landsend.com/products/womens-washable-wool-straight-modern-pants/id_217281

I used to wear wool pants with leg warmers underneath. I also wear a lot of ponte knit pants and corduroy. And fleece lined tights.

I can not do fleece, flannel, wool, or any combination.

I like a soft flannel shirt on cold days, but it has to be very cold out and the shirt has to be very soft and over sized.

I bought Caitlyn a pair of fleece lined leggings, wrapped them, and put them under the tree.

Was at the store with her the other day, she saw a pair, and went on for a good 10 minutes why she would never wear them.

She can take them back.

Sounds like DH. Can't just say why he doesn't like something. Has to go on a long, drawn out tirade about why he doesn't like whatever.

I hope you weren't too hurt that she didn't like them.

She needs really nice boots to go with, then she will like the leggings.

Long day back to work, I did manage to get some things done. But it seemed that as soon as I crossed one thing off the list, four more get added. Sigh. Boss is at our other office this week, so I'm hoping for a little quiet time to get myself organized.

Since The Boy will be out of town next week, we went to dinner tonight for my birthday. I got to pick, so Olive Garden we went. I don't care if it's not "real" Italian, I love Olive Garden.

Olive Garden is yum.  Did you know that their test kitchen is in Italy?  That's where the recipes are created.

As to the warm-ness ... Do you have access to MEC? They have some nice 'not-athletic' stuff. Also, I have some great long underwear pants and tops (silk, I think) from MEC that I can wear under pants. Maybe silk long-undies is a compromise?
