Tonight is the anniversary of DH and my first date. For some reason we celebrate this anniversary with more enthusiasm and planning than our wedding anniversary, which frequently passes without us remembering.

We will be going to dinner shortly with DD and returning home after to get off the roads. Too many crazies out there. Stay safe all!

When you all get through the Gilmore Girls reunion show we need to start a thread on it. I need to discuss it with someone!! The girls watched it but they identify with Rory more than Lorelei and I want to talk about it with grown folks! Lol

My sister and her husband celebrate the anniversary of their first date too. They went to Pizza Hut, so they still go to Pizza Hut every year.

Watching gilmore girls is a little weird now, I'm actually older now than Lorelei is in the show.

I feel ya MM!!!!! April 24 means more to us than our wedding anniversary. Thats where the 04 comes from. Our wedding anniversary is often forgotten, but 0424 is never forgotten.

Happy New Year to all my Geeks, I will be safely tucked in bed soon. Snowing again. Not a big storm but making it slippery out there. I hope tomorrow is better weather, otherwise I shall freeze walking on the beach with my friends.

Beach IKWTDS???? Are you one of those Polar Bear or whatever they are called people who swim every year? BRRR....

I may or may not be awake at 12:00. Sometimes I am even on a week night. But the wind is howling out there & my windows are builder grade & leaky so even though the thermostat is set a few degrees higher than usual it is chilly. I may want snuggle down early.

Glad we are the only ones. My mother thinks we are crazy. I told her the whole world celebrates our first date. Lol

And thank you. 27 years. Seems like just yesterday...

The fireworks shot off by the local church were AMAZING!
They started at 10:00, and ended at 10:35, in good time
for the kiddies to get to bed. Beautiful display, and well
publicized for the public. Lots of cars drove up on our
street, and parked to see the display. We had the
ultimate vantage point from our back porch. We had
invited all the neighbors, but the current stomach bug
had so many knocked out, only two showed up. More
shrimps for the rest of us!

The church started off at 7:30 with lots and lots and
lots of pizza for the kids - from toddlers to teens! Games
for all (and the older teens were NOT asked to babysit!).
Truly a congregation that cares about their community.
And it was all free!

DH and I will mail a contribution to the church on Tuesday.
He's already in bed - 10:45 our time - old fuddy duddy.
That's OK - I'll be up early with him to make a gourmet
breakfast.

Love and hugs to all our Geeky friends - may 2017 be
kind to you all.

Momala
