Just returned from the grocery store. It was starting to crazy. Not only is Saturday crazy anyway, but I'm sure people who typically shop in the afternoon are instead going this morning due to the storm moving in.

It is snowing. A fine show that is accumulation but not much. We are supposed to get between 1-3 inches but are closer to the 3" band.
We were supposed to go into the city and go to City Tavern for lunch today but weather. City Tavern is a recreation of the original one where this country was founded and where the PBS cooking show "A Taste of History" is based out of. https://www.citytavern.com/city-tavern-timeline/
Now, we are staying home. I will work on school work. DH will putter around. I will cook dinner in the Instant Pot.
We ended up with about 2 inches by this morning but it took all night to get it.
The sun came out full force and it's been melting rather nicely.
However, the sun is deceiving.
It's only 23 and anything not in direct sun is freezing.
Single digits for tonight.
We are doing nothing today.
Mom and dad are in their recliners, watching movies.
The kids are in their rooms messing around.
I'm watching food porn, playing games, and hanging out here.

I have a few pairs of silk long underwear from LL Bean that I wear in the winter, they fit under all of my pants and tops and you can't even tell. They keep me toasty comfortable all winter long.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
So I posted a couple of months ago about how the long time BF of a friend of mine was once again going through cancer issues. Back story is he had prostrate cancer last year and beat that. Well, he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and cancer in his lymph nodes a couple of weeks ago. He doesn't have much time left. I am sad for him and my friend.

I just found a new job I might apply for. Hopefully a shorter commute (but not by much). Should be better money though. And I could really use better money.
I'm so nervous even thinking about applying for it. I like the team I work with and would hate to leave that, but the client population is outside of what I enjoy.

We dodged the bullet last night - went down to 24, not the
10 that the weathermen predicted. Its now up to 43, and
bright sun. The wind is picking up, making it feel a lot
colder.

So went to Lowe's today for the paint for DD's bedroom. I have someone coming next week to paint. I ordered an area carpet with matching runner just now. Her room will look awesome...if she keeps it clean. Really excited to have this project done!
