Morning kids. I got woke up by my phone ringing off the hook at 9:30. I had my grocery delivery set for 11:00 - 1:00 but they were in the area & wanted to come early. So yay I'm awake & have groceries. I'm going to have to switch to evening deliveries since this is not the first time they have done this. I get it that they are in the area & it saves time & gas but there is a reason I pick the time I pick. He's lucky he didn't get shanked.

Who do you use, lexxy? I used to use Peapod by Giant and sometimes Safeway when the boys were babies. It was too much effort to take them with me. I also use hometownharvest.com for my weekly veggies & milk. They deliver Thursday mornings. But starting this week they will switch to Thursday night/Friday morning delivery. I'm not sure that will work for me, but we'll see. I don't cook much on the weekends and having veggies sit for 4 days....not good.
My pastor resigned out of the blue today. He didn't even talk to the Deacons beforehand, just announced it at the end of his sermon.
His reasoning was that he didn't want to be a part time pastor anymore, he wanted to be a full time pastor by now. But our small church hasn't grownenough to support a full time pastor at the level he was wanting.

Without notice? Are you sure there isn't something else going on?

Seems pretty inconsiderate of him. Did he get a call from another church? (I do not know what the system is with the pastors in your church, but in the one I grew up in, pastors were "called" by congregations of other churchs to become their minister. )
Just out of the blue seems almost in conflict with part of being a pastor....

Wow, what a shock! He should have at least discussed it. He probably has something else lined up.

He gave his notice today. He'll work through the end of January.

We were all just shocked. We just sat there after he went to doors. I mean, as it is sinking in, I realize it's probably for the best if he doesn't want to be there, but I really think the decision came from a selfish place, which is sad. He is a fabulous preacher - he never bores me, he is not about fire and brimstone but can get the points across that are needed, and he keeps things interesting.

My mom is prepping for a colonoscopy tomorrow. I went to the store to get her Popsicles. I grabbed a box of "no sugar added" ones, thinking that meant they were juice pops with no extra sugars. Nope. They have the fake sugar in them, I found this out because I ate one and now I feel sick :(

I've seen that happen.
Usually there is a very personal reason revealed later.
The Lord moves in mysterious ways.
