Morning! The job search continues this morning. Found 5 more. It's hard to avoid the Health Authority ones - they're hard to get into and once you're there it's generally pretty terrible. But it's all there is.

Mornin y'all!
I picked up a wedding and lawd, I already regret it. She is going to be a handful. We have an appointment at 6:30 to try on dresses. She wants me to meet her at 5:30. That's not how this works. Then she wants me to take the day off Monday to go to her venue. She KNOWS I am available nights and weekends only. Sorry, I can't leave my full time job to work on my part time job...

The sun is out, but it's deceptive.

It's cold.

Possibility of winter precipitation this weekend.

I just sent my "what I learned" email about the book. Still haven't finished it, but I thought I'd read enough to talk about some things I learned. I am going to finish it, but I think I'll skip over the military example part for the rest of it.

It's snowing here. Off and on. And at times kind of heavy. I'm hoping we get a little accumulation. Corgi likes playing in the snow

Oh, I am quite good at setting boundaries.  I once had to tell a MOB that if she didn't stop interfering that I was going to escort her out (I had the bride's permission, she's the one that told me to do it). I don't mind being the bad guy.

I'm bored! I lost my job on the 20th. Have spent the week applying for unemployment, etc. Have scoured the local papers for employment and have applied for everything I'm qualified for or can learn. I've cleaned the house, done the laundry and now . . . I'm twiddling my thumbs!

You have been very productive.  Might be time for a new hobby or a new binge on Netflix.

Hahaha LL, I've been trying to find something, anything, to watch on Netflix or OnDemand but nothing seems to be catching my eye.

Chef, I would absolutely LOVE to come back to AZ. I love it there. Unfortunately, finances prevent me or I'd already be on the road! lol

For excellent silly spoofy fun, watch GALAVANT.

For an excellent historical show about the early years of Queen Elizabeth II, watch THE CROWN.

I've been watching LAST MAN STANDING (hilarious) and GILMORE GIRLS.

Then there's my regulars, which I'm always waiting for new seasons to load - NCIS, Criminal Minds, Supernatural, Sherlock (a MUST).

And if you've never watched Buffy, you are deprived.

Thanks, LL. I'll check some of them out. I had started The Crown and couldn't seem to stay interested. Perhaps I'll give it another chance. lol

 I second the Supernatural recommendation!

I love it!

There's 11 seasons on Netflix.

Start with the pilot.

If you are dedicated and binge properly, you could finish and be all caught up by this time next Friday, catch up on season 12 on the CW app and be ready for the new episode.

biggrin

Just did the math - even if they up my wage (to the only thing higher on the wage grid than what I have), I will still have GROSS $200 per paycheck at the end of the month. Net is closer to $100.

I almost need to have the higher hours AND the higher wage to stay here long. I'm going to have to negotiate with boss next week to see if there is a possibility of adjusting the contract. If it's a no, I'm going to ask her if she is willing to be a reference on job applications 'for part time stuff to cover the difference'. And then slip in some full time stuff ...

Galavant is a bit Monty Python. It's good. And has Timothy Omundsun. He's yummy.

I liked Once Upon a Time for a while but it just got silly.

The Originals is good.

I think M*A*S*H is on Netflix. It's good no matter how old it gets.

No worries. I don't watch the Williams' sisters play. And it didn't matter that you spilled it here. I still watched it. Was an awesome match. Dimitrov gave Nadal a run for his money for sure. Loved it. I'm so happy Nadal is healthy and playing well again.

Hi, everyone.
I'm at DS's home with little man. Long trip on roads that were not very good. I hear the roads back home are worse now. Blowing snow on already icy roads does not make for safe traveling. Glad I left as early as I did!
Sorry to hear about the job situation for so many:(
