I'm bummed. Messaged DH's sister that we were coming to her son's wedding and would be bringing DS and DGS with us, they are invited too. She sent back a message, "Oh good! DGS can be with the other children during the wedding and reception."
Ah, that wasn't on the invitations. "And family" must mean something different in KC.
So, neither of our kids are going now.

 The kids will be at a different place and parents will be unable to check on their kids, who are with complete strangers. 

Both of my kids are uncomfortable with that concept.
