It started snowing last night about 9. I really thought it was over, but it's snowing like crazy out there. Hope it slows down before I have to go pick up lunch
We had a thunderstorm roll through around 9 last night.
This morning at 7 the bottom fell out and we got a very heavy rain for about 20 minutes.
Then the clouds parted and we dropped from 55 to 36 in 30 minutes.
It's partly cloudy and holding at 36.

Holy moly it's coming down so hard I can't see the end of my driveway just 20 ft away. Snow is a lot of fun when you can watch it from home all nice and cozy. DH had to go in but I'm hoping they send him home soon. Otherwise he might just be sleeping at the warehouse.

so the snow is starting to really pile up and the wind is really blowing so hard to tell how much I have so far. One of my neighbors is already snowblowing but that is futile as the snow is drifting. This is one of those storms I wait to the end of it or until the wind calms down to snow blow. I feel a snow day tomorrow coming on!

I'm home. Jojo is sick. No fever or anything, but she wasn't feeling well, fell asleep at school, I picked her up, and she went right back to sleep the minute we got home.

Poor baby! The school called me today to say #2 bumped his head on someones knee in PE. He was okay, but with even slight head injuries, parents need to be called. I always get a moment of panic when I see the school phone number appear on my caller I.D.
Yes. I was in Athens and started rushing back to get her. Got pulled over, but I was honest and told the cop why I was speeding and apologized. He gave me a warning and let me go.

It has to be sincere. They can tell when you are just trying to suck up.

I think I picked up a bug at the ER the other night.
I'm freezing and have a gross stomach.

Just did the second pass of snow blowing. It is cold. 15 degrees and the wind is blowing. Grrr but I have to say that I am proud of DD, she gets out there and shovels where the snow blower can't. A trooper, although she is hiding in her room right now.! She deserves it.

You keep saying that like you are trying to convince yourself. And yes, you do have bugs. You still have mosquitoes in the summer, dogs still get fleas, and there are spiders living in your house.
We know how to deal with bugs, and it's a lot easier than snow-blowing several feet of snow for months.

I love my snow blower, it is the most important inanimate object I own. You should understand that growing up in Michigan. It's a love/hate thing. And I have not bugs for 6 months each year, sure, I get snakes hatching and the occasional mouse, but no bugs!

Today someone posted on our neighborhood's message board that it is cruel and dangerous to let children wait outdoors for the school bus for 5-10 minutes when it is 20 degrees out.
I said that was stupid and several people got very upset, crying about the poor children.
What is cruel is not dressing your children for the weather. I see kids standing out at hte bus stop for 10 or 15 minutes in 25 degree weather with shorts.
DD goes to the bus stop in 20 degree weather wearing no jacket. I gave up fighting with her. She can freeze for all I care or learn a lesson. So sue me
