Buddy is home with us! He did really well, and I think he likes us, he keeps rolling over to get belly rubs. A very sweet dog, but a bit strange. He doesn't bark at all, and he won't eat dog treats.
He's grinning and settling in, though. And ready for attention when you are ready to give it. A little different than our last dog that demanded attention non-stop.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
That's so great! I'm so happy for you guys! Corgi rarely barks, but he is a big fan of treats. You'll find what he likes in no time. Have fun with the new addition.
My dog would eat treats all day long if she could at home. If we went anywhere she refused them from strangers. Even if we took it home she wouldn't eat it. Maybe Buddy just needs to get used to his new family.
Aksel doesn't eat treats either. He likes chicken jerky type treats but that's it. He won't eat a biscuit or a dog cookie or any of the rest of the world of dog treats. It's a bit annoying! Lol chicken jerky or nothing at all.
Glad your new dog is feeling at home LL.

This is hilarious to me, but I know I would be freaking out in his moms position.
Last night Bunny had his first sleepover with a little boy (5 years old) from down the street. Everything was great until bedtime, then his friend wanted to go home which was fine. It was his first sleepover too, he wasn't quite ready. So he went home about 8:30 at night.
This morning at 7:30 my doorbell rings and it's Bunny's friend. He decided on his own to come to our house for the pancake breakfast I had promised them. And he didn't tell or wake up anyone at his home.
So when his family came to get him I fed them all pancakes, but now he is in big trouble for leaving the house without permission.
That would freak me out as well. But wouldn't happen, as we have an alarm and we keep the motion detector on so if they so much as go downstairs the alarm goes off. LOL

Hysterical! When DD started having sleepovers, her BBF across the street would always want to go home but usually at midnight! She would always come back over in the morning for breakfast.

Monster didn't eat anything or make a sound for a few days.
Then the damage broke and he hasn't stopped eating or making noise since.
Have you looked up average personality traits of his breed? Maybe they are not vocal dogs.
Glad he is home, though.
I'd flip out if my kid left without my knowing at that age.
Hope the boys feel better fast, FNW.

Usually when someone gets a refund, they are happy about that.

I was so disappointed with my refund this year. It was the smallest it's been in years. Oh well.
We are doing a little yardwork today, then going to catch some Pokemon and then I'll be figuring out dinner. I accidentally bought eye of round steak strips instead of eye of round roast so I need to figure a plan B.
Glad buddy is working out LL!

Vette, a small refund is good! It means you didn't lend a bunch of your hard earned money to the government!
Be happy!!!!!!
(I could kick myself! We over paid by 7K. I'm so mad!)
I understand what you mean fwm. My dad use to wait till late as possible on the 15th of April to mail his taxes. He would drive to the main post office for the county and wait in a line of cars who obviously felt the same way as my dad to hand it to a postal worker just before 10:00 so the government wouldn't have his money any sooner then they had to.

LOL! I love your Dad, Lindley!
In years when we owed, I would wait until a day or two before, to send it in.
But, I was doing it by computer, sending an e-check.
I could never bring myself to wait until the last second. It would have made me nervous.
I have a rescue too! No need to go elsewhere but a shelter to get a pet.
Snow blowed again! Yep coming down that quick, plus the street plow can by and I had 2 feet at the end of the driveway. This will be a sleepless night.

Oh dang! Will there be school tomorrow?
No school, will work from home. This is an incredible storm. Like I said before, I have a love/hate relationship with my snow blower.

One of the young men who occasionally helps DH with the
farm/watermelon chores asked me to make a Valentine's
arrangement for his wife (he's ordered from me before).
When he came to pick it up, there were 5 other guys in the
van. Once they saw the flowers, and found out how much
(actually how little!) he paid, they piled out of the van and
came begging me to do flowers for their wife/girlfriend! All
at once! I told them they would have to take pot luck on the
flowers, the colors, and the container, and that each one would
be totally different from the others.
I made a mad dash to my local H-E-B (the absolute BEST
supermarket), and almost cleaned them out of leather leaf
(green fern), babies breath, pink, white, red, and yellow roses,
and matching colors of alstromeria (Peruvian lily). Thank
goodness I had enough containers - some were shiny silver
plastic, some glass, and some ceramic, and enough oasis
(green foam that soaks up water and holds the arrangement
together).
The guys sat in the living room or around my dining room
table, watching me put the arrangements together. Within
an hour, all five arrangements were completed, and the guys
were almost giddy with excitement waiting to deliver them to
their sweethearts.
I only asked what I had charged their friend (my original
customer), which just covered my materials cost, but each
one of them almost doubled the amount! Yaaaayyy!
I think I'll have these customers for Easter, Mother's Day,
Anniversaries, and lots of other occasions! (Especially if
they've been out partying the night before, and got into
trouble )
I know I'm going to go to the wholesale florist and restock
on oasis and containers!
