The boys each got a card, heart-shaped cookie, a ring pop with huge lips, and a box of little hearts with the usual "be mine", etc., sayings on them. I gave DH a box of Godiva and a card. DH & I went to dinner Saturday night and he gave me Sherri's Berries and a miniature red rose bush.

I got some goodish news today. I finally made myself go for my blood tests over the weekend. I've been dealing with high cholesterol for a while now. For the last year, I've been able to talk my doctor out of having to take medicine. I was really feeling like this was the time I would have to give in. This time, the voicemail I got said my cholesterol is still a bit too high, but it's better and to keep doing what I'm doing. I didn't even have to convince her to give me more time!
Gentleman we did the party for last night at the Lodge, he passed away today. I think he was waiting to go the meeting last night. He did not know it would be a celebration of his life with Odd Fellowship.
