I really, really did not want to get up this morning.
But. I did.
Straightened up the kitchen, put up some laundry, got a shower, and had some toast.
Can that be enough for today?
Still trying to get use to my readers. They make my head hurt and feel swimmy after wearing them for a while. Oh well.
Sounds like ya'll are having a nice Sunday.

FWM, chilli sounds good. Even better when someone else makes it. Except my DH would make it too spicy for me but perfect for him.
I am jealous of all you who are doing housework. Today's schedule is schoolwork and schoolwork followed by more schoolwork. Final projects are due at midnight tonight.
It's lesson one at funeral director school "don't ask people on their way to say good bye to their dead friend how they are today"? If it's not, it should be.

A friend's mother died. We were greeted at the door of the funeral home by a very chipper man who cheerily asked "and how are you today?" I personally was not really bothered, I'd only met the woman once. But I can see how that may not be the way to greet mourners.
I am so annoyed. I worked my Friday off because I have to baseline a new contract by tomorrow. I've been working it for weeks. PM is not giving me input. I have to give the files to Finance by 10 am manana. I am just going to have to baseline that last two budget items myself, they amount to about $4M and I know how they should be baselined. I just checked my work email, not one email from the PM in response to my recommendations I sent Friday (my day off). GRRRR Will probably have to work late tomorrow but it will be done since the briefing to corporate is Tuesday. Taking time off the following week.

The government is closed tomorrow for President's Day. I'll be working on campus Tuesday, attending a TEP meeting. I hope it doesn't go long.
Bao Bao is the offspring of a Giant Panda ( Mei Xiang) DC Zoo has on loan from China. She was mated with Tian Tian and they produced Bao Bao and Bei Bei. Any cubs born from Mei Xiang are property of China. The cubs must reside in China when they are 4 years old, so they are shipped back to China via Fed Ex. Bao Bao will be 4 this year. She will return to China where she will live at the China Conservation and Research Center. Basically it's a big panda resort where they will get her ready for breeding.
Panda cubs are a big deal here in DC to help prevent extinction. Although they are no longer on the endangered list, they are considered "vulnerable". Last time we took the boys to the zoo was when the boys were 5 and were not allowed to go in to the panda exhibit. Mei Xiang had just given birth to twins. Actually, they were delivered one day apart, oddly. One died the day we were there. It was quite sad.

I do understand the rules for Pandas. I have to say that I really like the rules. It is a show of respect to China from the U.S.

FNW, glad you and the boys got to enjoy seeing the panda's one last time. You are lucky to have been able to be so close to them while they were here in America. We have never seen a live panda. We hope one day we can though.
IKWTDS, why do they put so much pressure on you when they don't do their part of the job? That would stink and I would be mad if anything goes wrong.
The kids quilt is finally quilted! I love the floating foot. Made swirlies this time. We will be going to church soon and when we get back I hope to trim the quilt, make the binding and hopefully attach the binding tomorrow morning.
Then on to the next quilt! The back will be plush fuchsia. Yup, another one for the kids.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.

Because my position is the scape goat of the company. Everyone knows it. I can take the pressure. In the end the PM is responsible and if we don't get it done, it is on him. Tomorrow shall be interesting. Good thing they pay me big bucks. 9 years left until retirement.
