It was 37 when the alarm went off at 6:57 this morning.

It was 64 at the same time yesterday.

It's allergy season!

And my sinuses are celebrating!

But there sky is clear blue, not a cloud in sight, sunshine blanketing everything.

It's beautiful.

It's cool, in the 40's, and very windy. Supposed to get to 50 but still windy. For some reason, it doesn't feel that cold to me.

It was chilly and 41 this morning. Heading for a high of 65.

But, it's nice and sunny. Pretty average for early March.

Dropped Paul off at court. Can't wait till I pick him up, so I can hear all about the case.biggrin

Have a good Thursday, everyone!smile

Last night, after the storms, it started cooling off. When I went to bed, I cracked the window beside my side of the bed meaning to close it before I fell asleep. Well, I fell asleep reading and G didn't realize the window was open when he came to bed. We woke up about 3:30 and it was FREEZING in our room. He checked the thermostat and it was 50 degrees. I told him it was probably because the window was open. He thought I had lost my mind. He's been teasing me about it all morning. biggrin

Disney showed same sex kissing (cartoons) on their TV channel and made Gaston openly gay in their latest Beauty and the Beast. I just feel sexuality is a subject which children should learn about from their parents, not crammed down their throats by Disney.

They really should let kids be kids...and leave sex out of it.

I agree, parents should teach their children about sexuality.

It's disgusting. Another attempt at indoctrination. Children don't understand sexuality. It will just confuse them. I remember when the boys were 4, they came home from PRESCHOOL, letting me know that boys can marry boys now. They were excited that they got to marry each other. since they are brothers and BFFs. Uh, no.

 Disney was shamed into it.

Ya'll do know Disney has been an open supporter of gay rights for a very, very long time.

They helped fund the "it gets better" campaign and used Woody and Buzz in the commercials.

They also have a LBGT week every June, have a big pride parade down main street.

But yes, it is wrong to force things like this in kids shows.

Ugh, Disney lost our business as well. I will not be buying anymore Disney clothes for the grand's. Shameful behavior on their part.

In other news, the sun is shining brightly today! YES! Melt the snow, please!

I can't believe it's March already.

Today, I am home. I so need a day at home, alone.

For once, in a long while, I get to sew! Just about have all the blocks made for the latest quilt. I'm deep into my happy place. ;)

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday because tomorrow is FRIDAY!

With the exception of Animal Kingdom, DD an I liked Universal so much more than Disney. Plan to spend all your time in Harry Potter, have lunch at Margueritaville. Then hang in the pool at your resort.

We are still planning on going to Disney in the next 2 years.

But my kids are all young adults, now.

But I think the most relaxing theme park vacation we ever had was to Sea World.

It was just a really nice trip.

I don't think it would bother me as much if my kids were older. But at a young age, it's all very confusing and they are just starting to develop their own attractions, etc. It's almost like Disney and the LGBT community are trying to recruit. I know, I know, gays say it's not something they can help, etc. And maybe that is the case. And if they realize their homosexuality at a later age, fine. But don't brainwash them into thinking they are when they may not be.

That's the thing, less than .01% of people are homosexual ( i think that is the statistic) but having it in one's face daily  adolescents may feel compelled  to think they must be gay due to their angst with growing up. It's an easy way out for them without having to figure out life for themselves.

It is so cold outside with the wind. Air temp is 36 but with the wind it is near zero. I already see 3 trees down in the back, happy they are all in the woods so not an issue. Brrrrr

I got something but I can't recall it being that nice.  We did get inaugural programs they were handing out as well as C-SPAN inaugural buttons.  Then we purchased some things from vendors and a few things from his website.  Proceeds went to the campaign.

I didn't even know that existed. Would it still work even though the battery would be dead by now?

also, unfortunately, I have a feeling the resident mice stole it. If that's true, it's probably inside the wall somewhere.

ETA: I just looked it up. It doesn't work once the battery is dead. It's been over a month since I last had my Fitbit. So I'm sure it's dead by now.

It's actually 3% of the population.  Your number is transgenders.

We rarely have mice in the house, well, except that one time.

But with traps, steel wool, and poison, it can be done.

Ok - so I watched the clip from Beauty and the Beast - it is not overt, and should not cause issues. If you remember from the cartoon where Gaston's little short fat friend is extolling his virtues in song - with hero worhsip and adoration? They have done that in the new movie, but making the little guy "obviously" gay.

Personally, I think that when you say you are making a character overtly gay on purpose and then do so with stereotypical effeminate behavior - you are actually perpetuating the stereotypes and I think it should offend the homosexual community. It's almost like making fun of them.
