I need original easy ideas. My women's group meets the night before and that will take my whole evening. I want to bring something that's easy to throw in a crock there or something that requires no cooking. Help! Taken items include meatballs, buffalo chicken dip, cheese ball, something with cream cheese, cucumber sandwiches, etc etc etc.

A relish tray. Buy a couple jars of different pickles and olives and put them out. Done.

Pulled pork? You can cook it overnight in the crock pot.
I season a pork shoulder with the bone with salt pepper cumin garlic paprika
If you want spicy sweet add cup of apricot preserves, cup mustard and tablespoon teriyaki....
Shred before serving.
Serve with rolls. It's a crowd pleaser!

Wash skinny fresh asparagus; dry. Wrap with
ultra thin ham - turkey - beef - you know, the
kinds in the plastic packaging that hangs on the
wall in the deli section, near the bologna. Stick
with 2 toothpicks, and cut in half between the
picks. Pour some honey mustard in a small
bowl in the middle of a plate, and arrange the
asparagus spears around it. 3 ingredients;
can be made a day before if it is well wrapped.
Enjoy!
Get some of those little butter mints, put in a nice little bowl.

You don't have to rely on packaged onion soup mix to
make some really great dips - with much less sodium!
PAN FRIED ONION DIP –
1t oil 3C chopped onions 1t brown sugar 3T tub-style
cream cheese 3T mayo 1C sour cream 1t dried minced
onion ¾t soy sauce ¼t Worcestershire ¼t salt ¼t pepper
Heat oil in medium skillet on med-hi. Stir in the onions, lower
heat to medium, cover, cook 10 min, stirring occasionally Stir
in brown sugar & continue to cook another 7-10 min, stirring
periodically, until onions are deep golden brown. Remove from
heat. In medium bowl, mix cream cheese & mayo. Add sour
cream & remaining ingreds, including the warm caramelized onions.
Serve immediately, or place dip in serving dish, cover & chill 30 min
to meld flavors.
ONION BACON DIP -
8 slices bacon, cooked & chopped 1# onions, chopped 1C sour cream
3 oz cream cheese 1½t white wine vinegar dash Worcestershire ¼C
chives/ scallions Caramelize onions in a little of the bacon drippings -
about 20 min. Let cool. Combine with remaining ingredients. Serve w/
tortilla chips
SOUR CREAM & ONION DIP - The Chew
2T oil 2 large yellow onions, in ¼” rings 1 garlic, minced 1½C sour
cream ¾C mayo s/p Heat oil in saute pan on medium heat. Add
onion, & season w/ large pinch of salt, then toss to coat in oil. Arrange
onion into an even layer in pan, & cook stirring occasionally, but retaining
an even layer. Cook til onions caramelize, about 10-15 min. Remove from
heat & stir in garlic. Combine sour cream & mayo in a food processor. Add
onions, garlic, & season w/ pepper. Pulse until thoroughly combined, then
transfer to the refrigerator. Serve chilled.

No no No! No cooking! Will be out till 9 or so the night before and I leave the house at about 5:45 am. Need EASY. For example a roll of Ritz crackers and a can of cheese whiz.

Pick up a cheeseball at the deli, buy a box of crackers.
Cracker, cheese, pepperoni.
A big bunch of grapes.
Throw together a fake Olive Garden salad in big bowl.
Deviled eggs.

I dare you to take a package of Ritz and some aerosol cheese. Just put them side by side in a nice basket ... maybe one of those baskets they carry wine in for the cheese!
Also mix whipped cream cheese, crumbled bacon. Little bit of blue cheese. Worcester sauce. Garlic and onion powder, green onions optional. And grated cheddar optional.

I made bisquick sausage cheese balls. It was somewhat easy and i made it after my church group. I did have to stay up a bit late but it was ok. The party was nice. Lots of diapers and wipes, food too. The person that decorated was a retired marine sergeant major, lol. He had a little help from his wife picking the stuff up.
