I swear, I really really can not STAND my sister...
My mother had knee replacement surgery Monday. My sister took her and was supposed to spend the day, I would relieve her that afternoon/evening and then I would take her to the rehab facility on Thursday.
Well, sister left right after surgery and didn't come back until this morning. (she's a busy and important person, don't ya know!!) I have mother's bags for rehab (clothes, toiletries, things she will need there), that I was taking with me when I took her to rehab.
Well, sis just texted me and said she had stopped by the hospital and that mother was ready to go to rehab. I told her that the nurse said Thursday and she said, "well, she's ready now. You need to bring her her stuff. I'm taking her."
Um, no. I had this all worked out with the hospital. You changed the plans, and I cannot accommodate you right now. So now, she looks like the good guy (she's done all the work) and I'm the bad guy (I rescheduled meeting to be able to take her on Thursday).
I am so pissed right now.

I don't know, O4, both my parents have had knee replacements, dad had both done at once, and they both went to rehab pretty darn quick.
As soon as they could stand.
They had them up in a day or two, shipped off to rehab immediately.

Siblings suck. My brother lives west of me about 15 minutes and yet is always 'too busy' to see me. Uh, we're all busy, *******. Some of just think that family is important. Thank you for changing my mind and freeing up a bunch of 'hey let's hang out' tips. I'm still mailing him his crappy dirty old childhood toys. He thinks I won't, but that Care Bear is going in a damn box.

So, still redecorating the LR. And I'm about to drive poor G crazy. LOL! I don't like things that match perfectly. All of my lamps are different styles and sizes, all the shades are too. I bought a round end table, a rectangular one, and a square coffee table, all slightly different woods/colors. I like the mix and match look. Not too off, but definitely not a set. I have in my head what I want, and I am not going to spend money on just something I'm settling for. KWIM? But hopefully, it will be done in the next couple of weeks!

I'm painting the inside of the house. I'm leaning toward beige or tans. LOL! Lily I do like the colors you mentioned but I'm looking for calming colors since I'm always seem to be chasing toddlers these days. Oh also will be getting new carpets.
I'm not fired. My contract is up and I have to re-apply for the permanent position. There is a handshake agreement that the position is mine, but it's union and I have 0 seniority, so something could still go wrong. I've been told it won't but I'm still sitting around to find out if I'm employed.
I have been sitting around for 3 days waiting for the boss to decide if the position will be posted or if the position will be removed 'due to budget concerns', etc. Finally had the conversation an hour or so ago. About the same time that my boss got a reference check call from the other part time job I'm taking to make up for the loss of hours here.

I know lily and it made me laugh. I do like the greys too.
I'm dreaming of decorating soon, I've got a very soft grey in mind for the walls, trim will be white, I think.
But I did find a totally fabulous flamingo I want for the corner.

I love a clear beige with a little bit of pink in it.
Absolutely no yellow or orange. I've used it in
our LR, with chocolate brown valances and drapes,
and mushroom brown upholstery on the sofa and
arm chairs. Serene, yet happy colors.
