today is the selection of the teams for the NCAA tournament. My mom and I love this time of year. We will be on the edge of our seats waiting to see what seed Butler gets. It's a little less stressful these days, we know Butler is in. Oh my, those years we weren't sure. The tension, the anticipation, it was heavy.
thats this evening. Until then, I will be doing laundry and outlining the documents I brought home. I really hope to put a big dent in that project today.
I'm up. I have to run out to Michael's again today. I am doing a jewelry making class next week. I went to Michael's yesterday to get the tools I need but forgot the beads. I also need to haul in more wood, the storm we are predicted to get starting Tuesday is going to be a hum dinger!

After snowing all night, this is all we have to show for it.
That's it.
Mom and dad are in the mountains, I'm playing a trick on mom. I sent here a picture of several years ago, snow at least a foot deep.
Anyway, happy Sunday, ya'll.
Only 8 days till Spring!

ok, I'm a week late, but I've finally gotten to sit down at the laptop so I can post pictures.
Last Sunday, The Boy and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We went out to dinner and had a pretty low key weekend. He got me the most beautiful gold roses. I got a gold one for Valentine's Day, and these are just as pretty. He also tried his hand at chocolate dipped fruit for me. Those are apply slices and strawberries. I think he might be a keeper
Ha! I saw pics of those flowers before you did. They are gorgeous. He needs to work on the choc dipped fruit presentation, although they may taste good, those look rather, hmm what is the word???
And, yes, he is a keeper.

The boy wanted something special to give DG, and the gold dipped roses were an awesome choice and last for ever. Great choice and they need to be preserved. The vase, which is hard to see in the picture is great for those flowers. I also know the sapphire colored one is his fav.

it is the thought that counts. It was his first attempt at chocolate covered fruit. and yes, I do like white chocolate.
I'm trying to decide what to do with the flowers, where they would go best. I have the single gold one on my desk, depending on the furniture I end up with in my office, I might put the new ones on a shelf. I'm on the hunt for a bookcase or the like for my office. Haven't found what I want yet. And...
I get nervous getting too settled. Since it seems I get relocated every few months. sigh

You should keep them at home, just my opinion.

The roses are beautiful DG! Went to Church then out to lunch and a hospital visit with our Pastor and wife. Now we are lazying around. Time change (at least the spring forward) is a killer. Now I'm fighting post nase drip and I hope it doesn't turn into a sore throat.
DG ~
To help him let the chocolate "set up" without a
flat side, get him some florist foam - the hard
kind (available at Wal-Mart) - and some longer
toothpicks. Stick the toothpick into the fruit,
then immerse in the melted chocolate. Stick
the toothpick into the foam. Voila! No flat sides.

LOL Moma, DG and I were talking earlier how the boy loves walmart so your suggestion is just funny to me.
