I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
It's 4am. I'm stressing out about moving, and money and all sorts of things. I know that whatever I put out I will recoup, but the timing sucks. I can't afford to put out the damage deposit before I get mine back. I have the money for movers, but that will take everything I have in my 'emergency' fund, and will not be replaceable in the short term until after the fact. And I will have to transfer the money to my credit card to see how much I had there already so I could have a bit of a cushion, but the card is suddenly maxed! A bunch of charges appeared (fraudulent, and the cc company is dealing with it, so good thing I checked, but still. Will the reversal happen in time?)
And the contract for the 2nd job came through - there are some issues with it that I have to negotiate. Nothing terrible, but things I didn't expect and wasn't warned about at the beginning of the employment relationship. And my boss is so slow moving on the whole business side of things that my contract will be expired before she gets around to figuring out how to renew/extend it. So the last week of the month (at least) will be unemployment. I have vacation time that they will have to pay out, but still. PITA.

If you tell your landlords you need the damage deposit to move, will they come inspect sooner, maybe give you half now?

Morning. Wasn't in yesterday. Someone tracked in snow into our hallway. I was getting ready for work, taking down the trash. Wham! My foot smashed into the banister. Spent the day at the ER. Not broken, jammed toes. That hurt!

Well, this morning started with a bang. Woke up to an abandoned chihuahua on our patio. Office said they'd just call the pound and to find him a home so we did. One of our friends loves chihuahuas and she wanted him. He's blended right in with his new family already.
#2 had a rough night. Took him to doctor and she said his lungs are clear and he's good. Just croup most likely. School was on two hour delay so he didn't have to miss any. But it forced me to work from home today.
I entered us in the lottery for the White House Egg Roll. We'll see.
Watching The Basketball. Butler is doing well, as long as they keep it up. Took a half day off so I could be home to watch with my mom. And my friend that had surgery came over. She's been going a little stir crazy, cooped up at home.
Back to basketball!
Oh, and it feels so good, but so wrong to not be at work lol
The basketball games cut into my Supernatural time on TNT this morning.
So glad it's Thursday and I have Netflix.

Speaking of I'm making bangers and mash with Guinness gravy tonight to bring to work tomorrow. And we'll have our corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot ready when we get off work tomorrow. I should have taken tomorrow off since it's my second Christmas!

I'm texting with a coworker, and she told me maintance already put them together and threw away the boxes. So I might be stuck with them. I am more than a little mad.
Its not Friday, because I have way too much to do!
Friday = Fish Fry for the chili cooks who arrive early.
(We caught the fish today - can't get any fresher than
that!)
Saturday = Day 1 of our chili cookoff. Setting up
table/chairs inside (nobody else from the association
offers to help); setting up the judging tables; getting
the ice for the beer & water for the judges; then
setting up the table/chairs for a pot-luck dinner for
all the cooks who are staying over.
Sunday = Day 2 of the cookoff. Have to be there
early to put the coffee on and help the one cook who
likes to make breakfast for everybody.
I've got three of the girls from the Royal Court coming
in around noon each day to wash the pots and pans for
the cooks - its a fund raiser for the Court - no set price,
but a donation jar. Can you imagine cooking, and then
having someone else clean up for you!
