Always had a love/hate thing for early release days.
Loved the extra time with the kids, hated having to deal with all the half day car riders.
I have cinnamon rolls in the oven, the house smells amazing.

It's ok - I know it's true. But in my case, it is the school's fault. Because our school serves students from all over the county, we have 7 bus drop off points, so only a small amount of kids ride the bus. Most of the kids in our school are car riders unless they go to an afterschool program. My kids go to the school's afterschool program, and guess what? The school afterschool program doesn't run on early release days. That means we have to pick up our kids. So, that's 125 extra kids just because of that.

It's two weeks of spring break here right now. As far as I can tell, the kids are lying around the house playing video games (the ones that I work with). Such a waste of a break. Some of them are at day camps or day care because their parents are working. They are having a great time!

We would visit one of the many local places, get a bite to eat or have a picnic, one time I took them to an amusement park.
It was rare I had so much time alone with them.

Have little man until Sunday. Our house has been a mad house since I got him on Wednesday. Neighbor kids are spending all their free time over here as well.

The frogs were singing for a couple weeks here, then BAM! It's friggin end of days freezing!

Right? FWM & IKWTDS, JLB and anyone else ... you should come and have a packing/pizza party. I feel like I have packed so much, there is a mountain of boxes in the other room, and yet there are still a million things lying around. This will never be done.
