I'm up.

The boys are still snoozing away.

They stayed up late watching movies or something.

Everyone else is gone.

It's nice out, going to hit 70 again.

Happy Sunday, ya'll.

I wish we were only going to hit 70. That sounds nice.

Our high is going to be 86 today. And 90 tomorrow.

I have a bad feeling we had our Spring during the winter...and we're headed right into summer. In March.cry

Goofy weather!furious

Oh well...wink

I'm ready for the 80s and 90s.

It was barely 50 3 days ago.

Taxes are done. Got that out of the way.

Going to spend the rest of the day doing laundry and watching Basketball.

Monster has been grumpy for two days.

Can't figure out why.

Maybe he's just longing for warmer weather.

Got woke up in the wee hours by the smoke alarm going off. Scared all three of us. Fire department came out to make sure all was ok. Took us 3 hours to be able to get back to bed. Fire department said to contact maintenance tomorrow to make sure the wiring is ok.

DS told the firemen what happened and that the alarm going off scared him.

 I don't think he's sick.

But I was thinking, he spent almost 2 days outside with dad, maybe he's sore.

He was all over the yard, up and down stairs, in and out of the truck.

Maybe that's it.

That it could've been dust particles from the A/C. I guess dust can mimic smoke. Or it could be faulty wiring.

They also checked for carbon monoxide. Nothing.

Just got back from Mom's. She lives in CT. DD and I drove out there, all my siblings and some of DD's cousins were there. It was Mom's 86th. We all brought food and had brunch. Yummy, filling, and Mom was so happy. I think she thinks she could go anytime. Thing is, she is the one who takes care of her friends who can't drive anymore, and she is physically fit. But she sees her friends passing away.

Just crawled home from day two of our annual chili cook-off.
Super tired, but really happy. We (I) raised enough to fully
fund one scholarship! The cooks had a wonderful, and VERY
relaxing time. Most of the cooks brought their RVs/campers,
so they didn't have to worry about driving home after partying
hearty. One of the cooks has a beer sponsor, and a liquor
sponsor (they do cook-offs full time), so they donated all the
beer that was used for the judges, and my local H-E-B donated
3 $10 gift cards to use for the palate cleansers for the judges -
in previous years, both those items came out of my pocket!

We had 15 cooks each day (enough to be a sanctioned cook-
off), and six of our cooks earned enough points to qualify to
cook at Terlingua (the World International Chili Cook-off).

Friday night, DH and I put on a Fish Fry for the cooks who
came early - rave reviews!

I think I may sleep in tomorrow.

Oh! They acknowledged what he was saying and asked for more info.

Silence is golden. DS is outside with DH. I'm enjoying the peace and quiet inside.

He wanted to wear underwear to the playground. Here's to hoping he pays attention to his body's cues telling him to go.

I'm ok. Pride a little hurt. I kinda rolled down the ditch so I laid there a sec. Little neighbor boy made sure I was ok.

For a sec I thought you meant DS wanted to go out in just his undies. Good luck on that!

Ouch! SB glad you are alright, momala glad your weekend cook off was a hit. Still sick 😷 was feeling better yesterday but seem to have a relapse. Also a pretty sad day for my husband and I. A friend died of cancer today. He was just diagnosed a little over a month ago with lung cancer.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he did want to go out in just his undies. He'd love to show off his super hero boxer briefs!
